Lucy
The morning sun, a mischievous wink through the blinds, painted golden stripes across our bed. I snuggled deeper into the warmth of David's embrace, the rhythmic rise and fall of his chest a soothing lullaby. He slipped his hand across my lower back. The warmth of his bare skin against mine set a spark of pleasure through me. He rumbled low and content into my hair.“Wake up,” David rumbled. He kissed my head and twined a curl around his finger. “We have things to do.”“You shouldn’t have kept me up all night.”He chuckled. “You didn’t say that last night.”I nudged him. He dipped his head to nip my lips.“You know, if it’s too much, you can always tell me to slow down.”He’d been saying that for five years now, and I never found a reason to tell him to. He knew that. His eyes flickered between colors. I nipped his lower lip.“Give me a reason.”He smirked and rolled me onto my back. “To slow down or…”“To get up,” I said as he kissedA long time ago, the wolf pack was divided into four packs, including the current three packs and a White Moon Pack. The White Moon Pack and the Blue Moon Pack used to be one pack. The blue moon pack possessed the strongest fighting genes and was the dominant force of the wolf pack. The White Moon Pack advocated peace, but the conflict escalated, and the leader of the White Moon Pack led their people to break away from the Blue Moon Pack. Although the number of White Moon packs is not large, each member is skilled in witchcraft, and each person's strength is comparable to that of an army. Their power comes from a crystal, and they believe in the Moon Goddess, praying that all parts of the wolf pack can develop peacefully. As the Blue and White Moon pack split, the whole power of the Blue Moon Pack gradually declined because their battle genes were too strong to suppress, making it difficult for them to have children, and their population began to decrease. They had to move their pack
I couldn’t breathe. The darkness of the trunk seemed to be getting closer. I heard the engine crank up. It started to move forward. I turned, trying to find something that would help me get out of the trunk. The air felt thin. I felt dizzy as it got harder and harder to breathe. The car bumped and rocked. I was banged against the sides of the trunk for what felt like hours. My lips trembled. I started to cry. I knew they had never cared about me. When I was a kid, I thought I could get them to love me if I just did everything they asked of me. I learned quickly that wasn’t possible.I shuddered. Whoever would buy me… The car came to a stop. By then, I felt like I had cried all I could. Now, I was just hopeless. Maybe I would be killed tonight. Maybe I would be driven crazy by whatever they would do to me. I didn’t know. I didn’t want to think about it. The trunk opened. The light blinded me for a moment. Before I could lift my head, one of the men covered my head with a thick clot
LucyI shuddered as the deep voice echoed through my mind. “Raise your number again, and I will rip out your throat.”Whoever it was, they were violent. I heard a hiss of pain and gasps around the room. Soon after, I was dragged off the stage and down the hall again. The floor turned into carpet beneath my feet. Unlike before, they said nothing. I heard a door open. Then, I was tossed onto something soft like a bed. The door closed behind me. I shuddered as the quiet fell around me. It didn’t take long before the door opened again. I flinched as two sets of footsteps entered. Then, the door closed behind them. “She’s… very skinny.”I curled tighter. I heard one set of footsteps got closer. Then, a large warm hand fell on my head. I flinched away. A soft voice hushed me. “Easy,” a man said softly. “I’m going to take your blindfold off, okay?”My jaw trembled, but I jerked my head. It was better than I could have hoped for. His hands went to the knot at the back of my head and star
LucyThey got me off the bed and ushered me out of the room. I wasn’t paying much attention to anything else they were doing, but I listened to the way they talked to the people at the counter. Matt seemed really nice. Tony seemed really cold.“Have our car brought around immediately. We won’t be staying here.”“Oh, but typically, that price is only for–”Tony growled at the man behind the counter. “We do not share. The price was set, and no stipulations were discussed prior to purchase. We are leaving. Give me her things.” Matt turned to me. “Is there anything you want to keep from… wherever you’re from? I couldn’t think of anything, so I shook my head. It wasn’t as if I owned a lot of things anyway.“There was nothing with her. She hadn’t been here long, no more than a few minutes before she was put on auction.”Tony turned and led the way to the front doors. Other people in nice clothes milled around and watched as we passed. I thought maybe one of them would help me, but none
Matt“How long are we staying here?” I asked. It wasn’t like Tony to want to stay in the human world long. Let alone at this house, and I missed the scent of the forest around the pack estate.“A month,” he said as we waited for Lucy to come out of the bathroom. “She needs to eat more.”I nodded. “Fair. Do you think she’ll relax a bit?”“She’s not going to have much choice.”I scoffed. “Do you have to be like that?”Lucy came out, silent and looking at us as if we would lunge across the room and tackle her. “Dinner,” Tony said, gesturing to the tray on the cart. “Get back in bed.”She ducked her head. Her eyes were wide with fear, and she scurried across the room. She climbed back onto the bed. Before she could reach for the tray, Tony had uncovered it and set it over her lap. “The doctor says you’re underweight,” Tony said. “You’re going to be eating three meals a day at least from now on.”She looked down at the tray. “What… is this?”“Steak and potatoes,” Matt said. “And spinach
LucyIt had been a week since I woke up in the bed between Matt and Tony. Every day they fed me, sat with me, and even though I didn’t say much, neither of them seemed to be upset about it. One of them was always with me when I went to sleep, it was usually Matt, but sometimes Tony would be there too, dressed in a suit and curled up on my other side. I couldn’t help but think that maybe they didn’t mean any harm. That they might even care about me. “What are you thinking about?” Matt asked, lounging beside me, twining his fingers in my curls the way he usually did.“Why… do you look at my hair like that?”He smiled. “I told you I prefer long hair. I’m waiting for it to grow.”I couldn’t help but laugh at the way he pouted at me. His eyes lit up, and he shifted closer, tugging me to lay beside him. “That’s the first time you’ve laughed,” Matt murmured softly, brushing his lips against my forehead. “All the jokes I’ve told? Do you just not think I’m funny?”I swallowed, not sure how
LucyThe pleasure was too much. I couldn’t think. For a long time, all I saw were stars. Then, they were looking down at me with softly glowing red eyes. “Happy birthday, Lucy,” Tony whispered.Matt leaned over and kissed me softly. “Happy Birthday.”The door opened, and I pulled the blankets up over me. Tony cocked an eyebrow at me as Matt smirked and sauntered into the room. They were both dressed nicely. Tony’s hair wasn’t as neat as usual. “Wh–What’s going on?”“We’ll have to play a little more later,” Tony said, eyeing me. “Though this time, it’ll be my hand between your legs.”My face burned as Matt went to the closet, opened it, and started rifling through it. “I know I put it in the basket….”Tony crossed the room and stroked my cheek. “Are you okay?”I nodded quickly. He chuckled. “I’ll run you a bath. We’re going out tonight. It’s about time you got to enjoy being an adult, don’t you think?”I frowned. “I’m… only eighteen.”“Adult enough.”Tony went to the bathroom. I hea
Lucy I screamed and stumbled back away from them at the sound of their growls and the sight of them. I couldn’t believe it. My adoptive father went running away screaming before either of them could bite him. They turned back with their glowing red eyes. Their fangs glistened dangerously. I screamed again. I shut my eyes as they came closer, expecting them to bite me. One of them pushed his nose against me. I shuddered and opened my eyes as I heard the car we had come in return. I scrambled towards the car. I flung the door open and crawled inside. The two of them jumped inside just after me and someone closed the door. I pressed myself against the other door, staring at them and panting in terror. The two white wolves with glowing eyes looked between each other and me the whole way home without saying a word. When we got back to the house. I hurried up to my room. “Lucy, wait,” Matt called after me. He caught me around my waist. “Just take it easy. It’s okay.”I was trembling.
