Chapter Two- Claimed

The sound of gunshot were everywhere with no body knowing who was shooting them. It was aiming Michael’s guards. The alarm immediately went off as Michael had people check places to figure out the intruder.

The main door which was locked opened shattering into pieces of wood. It was blown up. A gang of men dressed in black holding guns in their hands stepped in shooting in diverse locations.

My heart skipped in fear when they were killing the multitude and Michael’s men. Were they also going to kill me too?

Memories of the past flashed in my head. I placed my hands on my ears trying to stop them from deepening. I began trembling, my legs felt wobbly. I started moving back zoning out completely on what was occurring around me.

My back hit a hard platform; I slid down sitting on the floor. They hadn’t come in years, why now?

Mum and dad’s death, the sound of the gunshot, the scream… the blood splattered everywhere touching me.

I glanced up and saw a well-dressed man pointing a gun at Michael. Michael looked frightened but was covering it up with pride.

His men were down and he was the last man standing. The unknown man adjusted his gun uttering some words as he shot the gun into his brain.

Michael’s lifeless body fell to the ground. It looked as though everyone had found their way out because it was just the unknown man, his gang and Michael.

Some group of people came to get rid of the bodies including Michael’s body. Tears cascaded down my cheeks.

Did I witness something I wasn’t meant to see? The man gazed at the ceiling scrunching his nose; it looked as though he perceived something. His gaze immediately fell on me staring blankly at me. He slowly began to head my way, the sound of his footsteps made me tremble.

Was he coming to kill me too like he did to that man?

He halted in front of me and unexpectedly squats down coming face to face with me; his blue-orbed eyes making contact with my light brown-orbed ones. He had dark brown hair, which he stylishly had it gelled to the back.

A tear dropped down my cheek. He knitted his brows in confusion on why I was crying. He wiped my cheeks with his thumb causing me to stare at the floor.

Who is this man?

“What’s your name?” he asked raising my chin up making eye contact with me. I kept mute. He arched his brow up waiting for my response but not getting one.

His grip on my chin tightened leaning his face closer to mine.

“You sure don’t want me to repeat myself, Rainfall” he gritted like though he was pissed.

“Mia R-Rivers.” I stuttered. He let go of my chin before standing up.

“Get up” I instantly stood up, I noticed how tall he was due to how high I lifted my gaze up at him. He stared at me blankly.

“So what were you doing here? Getting sold like the rest?” I nodded my head in embarrassment. He looked at me plainly for some while before uttering

“And who was in charge of it?” I stared at him keeping quiet. He raised a brow up expecting an answer; when he didn’t get any he sighed rolling his eyes.

“You are wasting my precious time, Rainfall” he retorted tapping his wrist.

“Umm… I …it was a lady, she had r-red hair and she looked like she was in her fifties or so” I stammered. I really couldn’t predict what was happening.

Initially, I thought he was going to kill me and now he was demanding for some old lady.

“Helen” he averted his gaze to the room scanning it maybe to look for someone.

“She must be somewhere around, I can still catch her scent. Leo, check that end corner and make sure she doesn’t get away. Liam, go with him”

What exactly does he mean when he said that he can still catch her scent? The only current smell in the room was that of blood. What precisely did he need her for?

He glanced back at me with a tiny bit of amusement in his face. It seemed pathetic how he was amused by the situation; I guess he was just a psychopath.

The sound of a high-pitched scream made me shiver causing goose bumps to resurface on my skin.

“Let go of me, you bastards!” Helen’s voice echoed everywhere. The two guys that were ordered to get here were dragging her inside to the mysterious man positioning her on her knees. She was trembling at the sight of him for an unknown reason.

“Helen. You are the one trading one of your own for money, aren’t you?” he walked around her forming a circle.

“No, no Alpha. It’s not me; I was just helping to sell. It’s my duty as a friend, Alpha” she uttered joining her palms together like she was pleading for her life.

Alpha? Like a name of title? Was that his name?

“Well good for you. You are going to help me have something done after all, I’m your old-time friend, right?” he used the tip of his gun to raise her chin up to insert fear in her.

“W-what is it, Alpha?”

“Good. I’m buying this young lady and you are selling her over to me. Begin and don’t waste my damn time”

My eyes widened at each words that came out of his mouth. I looked at him, tears cascaded down my cheek.

Just when I thought being sold died along with Michael…

“Did I stutter? Start with it unless you want to unleash the other side of me, Helen”

Could I oppose him that I am not an item but a human being? No and that’s because he was in control here. Not even that mean lady could dare oppose him for some fact I didn’t seem to understand.

“Y-yes, Alpha. It’s just that, there are many good-looking ladies out there, why would you go for a scumbag like her? She isn’t fit to be your L-” he held her jaw with so much power causing her to whimper in pain.

“I didn’t ask you for your opinion, did I? Just a simple task I assigned to you shouldn’t be the problem here, should it? Don’t talk about her in that manner. Now do what you’re to do, bitch” he warned before letting go of her.

His eyes diluted pure black just like that of Michael. He looked extremely annoyed to the core. How is it possible for one’s iris to be this black?

“Y-yes, Alpha” she cleared her throat.

“Thank you all for gathering today; we all appreciate your kind heart of coming to this auction today where we trade ladies for money. Here comes a lady with good features, she is kind of-” I watched her as she went on. My heart sank in fear.

“Prices can go on” she said coming to a halt.

“I would buy her”

“And she is sold, Alpha”

“Well, thank you. I think I can handle from here, Helen”

“What do you mean?” Helen asked shaking in fear.

“That your reward isn’t money but this…Greet Michael for me”

I shut my eyes close when I realized what he was going to do.

“No-no, please-” the sound of gunshot interrupted Helen’s plead. I shut my ears with my palms, small sobs escaped from my lips. I remained in that spot afraid that if I move I would die to like Helen.

I felt hands wrap around my wrist pulling my hands from my ear. I stared at the floor unable to look at him. Why was he so quick to take away one’s life?

“Look at me” he stated. I began quivering, I couldn’t stare at him. There was an uneasy feeling in my tummy, I felt disgusted. It was getting worse. I instantly turned back bending to empty all the contents in my belly.

There was blood everywhere, the smell was awful. The sight of Helen’s lifeless body made me feel sick the more. My eyes started giving a blurry view; I began to feel dizzy and weak.

I think I was hypervilating, I felt being lifted off of the floor like someone had carried me.

“Ho…me” I uttered, everything went blank. All I know is that after everything that took place.

I felt safe
