เข้าสู่ระบบIt’s been two weeks I sent the fifth letter yet there was no response from Selene; that bitch! How dare she defy me just because she was able to hook onto my father, when I get that position, she’ll definitely be sorry!“My lord, I think you should calm down,” Alan raised his voice to speak amid the clattering and shattering of decorative glasses and furniture I threw around in anger. “The queen is still trying to get over what you did…..”“What I did?” I turned around fiercely. He nodded, she is probably angry. Still very offended, I presume. Although she isn’t giving any feedback, she is not returning the letters or refusing to receive them either. I’m sure she’ll come around.” “How long will it take?! I do not have the time to indulge her in that shitty filial pity.” “You have to be very patient with her sir, she has to take all the time in the world. You did something wrong, you admitted it and apologized accordingly, give her some time.” He paused and heaved. “Like I said befo
I faced the people; “great citizens of this great kingdom! I am pleased that many of you took out time to attend this trial and see that justice is served. These men belonged to the group that has besieged, attacked and destroyed your homes, families and villages. “They have equally kidnapped, maimed and killed your loved ones, putting everyone in a state of jeopardy and making it more difficult for the rulers of each pack and the autonomous leadership of the continent to act accordingly and do right by you to prevent or curb these series of vile attacks.” “These men decided to make a terrible mistake by infiltrating the fortress and tried to seize and attack the queen, you must know this is not the first time we have apprehended the members of this enemy group. There have been other groundbreaking saves but this group has decided to remain adamant and continue their terror, so I’ll pass the verdict now.” I pointed my fingers to the convicts, “these men will be stripped, shaved of
“Torture them some more! Put them on a stake and set them on fire! Drag them round the city square until they lose their lives! Exert more torture methods, they must confess to their crimes, both past, present and future! Yes!” Voices from the crowd burst and rose again in raw anger. I stared at them, a hand under my chin, amused with a lazy grin on my face. I closed my eyes slightly as Selene studied me from the corner of my eyes in confusion, it seemed I was dozing but I just needed the crowd to vent out their anger till it cooled a little bit. After a while, I sat upright and that alone made the hall go quiet. “Fellow citizens of the Obsidian Throne, I appreciate your zeal towards making sure justice is served. But right now, what we truly need to work faster is the voice of reason over our aggressive anger. Our calm disposition in our state of anger will help mete out reasonable methods to make these men talk, if it doesn't work out that way, we would deal I'mwith this matter a
“With his looks, maybe.” He shrugged with his plastered lazy smile, “but I doubt that would do the trick.” “Hey! You do realize I'm realize I'm still here right?” I laughed, “don't be such a baby Theo. Remind me again what these men did in the fortress, I want to fuel my anger.” He creased his eyebrow, “why? That sounds so strange.” “But I brought a reason, and it's tangible.” “Alright then,” he shrugged and began filling me in. Kael laughed, “one would see this level of seriousness and think you both are preparing for an exam.” No one gave me an answer, we were too engrossed in our mission to give attention to anything else. We reached the entrance of the throne room, so instinctively, all conversation had to end. Kael held my hand and walked to the throne flanked by Theo behind; I sat down but Kael still stood taking in the view of the people before speaking. “Dear council members and convicts, sorry for the abrupt break. As we all know, the queen is heavy with our child so e
The convicts filed into the throne room as we were all seated; they were in a pretty bad shape, beaten, battered and obviously tortured to spill the truth. At this point, I could not recognize them anymore; not that I knew them, but their facial features were nothing to write home about. Their faces either had a swollen eyelid or an open bruise on their faces or bodies, it was a gory sight which took all the willpower in me not to throw up or let my emotions run wild. I had already prepped my granite face before entering the throne room; showing my weakness in front if these people, even the council would put me in a more uncomfortable position. I felt heat rise up to my cheek alongside my breakfast in my throat; I shifted uncomfortably in the throne, struggling to concentrate on the trial. The faces was already getting etched in my head that I had to shut my eyes repeatedly. Kael was quick to notice my discomfort; he leaned in closer to me, “would you like to excuse yourse
“My lord, the envelope is meant for the queen alone.” There was hesitation and edginess in his voice, it made me wonder if Kael was right about him. “Since you insist, this would be handed to the queen. But we would look into this matter,” Kael’s voice rang out. “My Lord, that’s not what I was talking about…..” Tate cut in with protest. “This issue alongside the other would be evaluated tomorrow,” he spoke as he walked into my room. I had already tucked in myself when he entered, “your majesty.” I spoke tiredly. “How are you doing my lady?” he sat on the edge of the bed and handed me a large box with the envelope. “I hope you did not experience any discomfort today.” “What’s this?” I said instead, examining the box like it was a time bomb. “A music box, I figured it would be useful for times like this. You’re shaken pretty badly so this would help soothe and relieve your worries,” he explained. “Thank you, Kael.” I was already drowsy and knew it would not take long before Kae
