“Yes..yes, I did, not you, I did it.” The fear of her talking was making it impossible for me to think of anything other than to calm her. I could think of something, I just had to make sure that she was handled from my end, that she wouldn’t get scared and rat me out. Oh goddess, why didn’t I just mind my business! Why did I have to act before thinking, why? Why! When I looked back at her, she was focused on the dead soldier even as the camp awakened, soldiers, running around trying to catch whichever unfortunate soul made it in here. It was only a matter of time before we would get caught, correction I would be caught. I took her by the shoulder, spun her to face me. “I did it, I killed the soldier.” I spoke slowly and made sure our eyes melted into one another. From her black eyes, I could see my own reflection, the fear clear as day in her eyes. “But you know what, I saved you from getting raped.” “It’s not the first time, I didn’t need your saving,” she cut in lowly. I almost punched the wall beside her, the anger and fear in me flaring. But I took a deep breath, this would take me nowhere. The footfalls of soldiers running around made me skittish. “Yes, but it’s just us two here. No one will know what happened to him if you don’t talk. We didn’t see anything.” I didn’t realize I was so close to her till I felt the shivering icy breath from her. “B-but the alpha will find out,” she darted her eyes but I grabbed her head and made her look me in the eyes. “He will not find out, he does not have supernatural powers.” I hope I was right. “He cannot know what he didn’t see. You didn’t see anything, I didn’t. We were walking when the werewolves broke in. The werewolves killed him. Not us,” his eyes shone with terror and I immediately corrected, “not me, me not me.” Please just agree, please just nod yes. I watched her face as she contemplated. Her fear switched up real fast. “Besides you don’t know me, you never saw me. You weren’t here and if you weren’t here then you didn’t see what I did, right?” I spoke slowly like I was speaking to a physically impaired child. “Yes.” “Right so nothing happened—“ “Up, they ran up!” A soldier barked from inside and I pushed us down to not be seen. “Stop them, they are headed to the Alpha’s wing.” They wanted to die, I thought of them going to Death’s wing. “Go through the back!” Footsteps, yelling, and the clash of swords rang all around us. “Yes, I didn’t see anything,” she suddenly said and I almost hugged her from relief when I heard, “What are you doing here?” The alpha’s daughter. My spine straightened like a ramrod and chills from the cold night lanced down my muscles making my legs go numb. “The camp is under attack, what are you doing out here?” I didn’t miss the suspicious tone in her. The girl I’d only managed to keep at bay and make her agree to my plan was once again trembling under me. Fuck! “That’s none of your business!” I snapped, holding tight to the servant girl. “We were cleaning, you’ll know what we were doing if you were a measly servant like the rest of us.” Then I shot to my feet, never letting the girl’s hand go. I would never leave her to this viper and have her spew out my secret and then get me killed “And we were just leaving.” Picking up the buckets I dragged the servant girl with me. “Are you going to leave without completing your task?” She stared suggestively down at the water on the floor. “It’s like you said, the camp is under attack and we have to get to our dormitory.” I didn’t wait for her to pry any further before I dragged the girl away. Heart in my throat as I prayed that she didn’t look down the balcony. I walked past the mirror and stopped. The servant girl ran away, while I stood and watched Death’s mistress. ‘Please don’t look down, please don’t look down!” I chanted in my head. She looked around, hand on the balustrade before she spun around and walked out. “Thank goodness!” I ran down to the servant's quarters, making sure to stay out of the soldier's path when a pair of hands dragged. A door bang shut and Aria was staring at me, “where have you been? What are you doing outside?” “I had some things to do,” I lied, the noise came again and I regarded her, “what’s going on outside? The noise.” “You should be grateful they didn’t come to kill. Some spies broke in, they wanted to free an alpha in the dungeon.” “What? My mind flew to my father, this commotion could help the prisoners escape. “Most have been caught, some fled. We have to stay low. How did they even make it in?” I thought the same thing as well. It meant they had been hiding around the camp, taking note of our activities. What if they were here to break out my father? Aria didn’t exactly know who they were here for, so what if? Just what if. He had been known for his selfishness. “I’ll be right back!” I wrung the door open and dashed out into the aisle milling with soldiers. Death’s second in command Eris was with them. “Search the camp, they couldn’t have gone far. Bring them all alive, if they resist, you know what to do.” My back was to the wall, flat, with my breath in my throat. I watched as they ran out and I used this opportunity to slip in with the soldiers when I caught sight of the girl from earlier that had slipped from me. Looking back at the soldiers going to the dungeon, I gave up my father with a sigh, “screw my life.” I started towards the servant girl. I just had to make sure that she wouldn’t talk. Not even if The alpha’s daughter interrogated her, which I knew she would. Hurrying down, bodies bumped into me, sending me back when I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen. I gasped as my cold cracking fear whipped me. “For the general, bitch!” A voice whispered in my ear before slipping away. I didn’t get to see his face as I dropped to the cold ground. I’ve been stabbed.
Sybil’s POVHis teeth grazed my collarbone and I froze on my ass.‘Pull away!” My wolf snapped but I didn’t have the willpower to rip myself from his touch. My dream is for him to own me, to fuck me in the most insane way.His finger trailed down and he pushed the strap of my dress down over my shoulder. I wasn’t wearing any undies because I didn’t usually sleep with them. So when he pushed it down, my breast came into view. Plumped and plush. He took the wine from me and placed it on the table. Then I scooted inside as he crept up on me. Lowering his head, his tongue darted out and passed my hardened bud, he repeated the action till they were hard and such worthy.“Tell me to stop.” He whispered in the crook of my neck and I moaned. “Say it.”I bit my lips, fighting back a moan, and told him to stop. In which universe? His touch was a thousand times hotter than Ryder’s. He was a man and understood what he had to do to make a woman lose the semblance of her thought. And that was what
Sybil’s POVI stepped back, raising my hand as I walked out of the kitchen. Leaving the girls behind. They muttered something about me pretending, but I didn’t mind.On my way to the room, I met with Aria too. We walked side by side to our rooms. The moment we were in she dashed to the toilet while I slumped on my bed. How do I meet with my father? Should I go tonight? If I went tonight there was a high chance of getting caught, also I could go unnoticed. They wouldn’t think anyone would be foolish enough to come down to the dungeon after the incident with the spies.Aria stepped out and hit the bathroom. The warm water made it hard to leave. So leaned against the tub and imagined the ironic life.Back at my pack I didn’t have a tub inside my small bedroom, and I was free, albeit slightly. However, here I was a sex slave. I had a bathtub.“What was your dream before you were bought?” Aria asked, back on her bed, facing the ceiling. I contemplated before I answered. Have I ever had a
Sybil’s POVAfter waiting for some minutes I snuck out of the room into the empty aisle. Good, there was no one here. I hurriedly walked to the middle of the hallway before I relaxed and started walking at my normal pace.zI remembered the look in her eyes, triumphant when she said she was happy Azin died. That if she could she would go back in time to assist me in killing him.It was assuring what she said, that she wanted to kill him as well, but I didn’t completely trust her. Her fear was what made me most scared, she could get terrified and out me.But for now I had to trust her, give her a benefit of doubt before I did anything. Besides, meeting up with her multiple times would make us look suspicious. As I walked my head was buzzing with different thoughts and then I remembered Eve, should I tell her about what happened? I could trust her right? Or was I overshooting?Going down I heard a loud groan that made me stop dead in my tracks. It wasn’t the sound of the groan that made
Sybil’s POVJust in time two soldiers marched towards me.‘Run!’ My mind told me as I saw them approaching angrily. Oh no.‘Run, Sybil, run!’‘Don’t run, did you do anything? You’ll just tell the truth!’ My wolf said, but as I saw the approaching soldier I couldn’t hold my ground and bolted. My wolf groaned in frustration and I muttered an apology still running. The men chased me while Aria yelled from behind, running as well, “Stop! Stop!”“No! Don’t worry about me!” I yelled right back at her, still running. I caught sight of some servants by the balcony, some washing, and amongst other things, staring at me.You’ve got to be kidding me. Those lying imbeciles!I didn’t go far away before slabs of muscle knocked me to the ground, I rolled over about to bolt when hands grabbed the other side of my arms. They yanked me up when Aria reached us, she was panting and dropped to my feet, trying to catch her breath, “why, why did you run?” “Because you said they were after me,” I said, figh
Sybil’s POV As I worked I tried as much as possible to keep my eyes on Lily, I hadn’t noticed much of her since till this day. Now she was suddenly everywhere, going in and out of the general’s tent.Every time I saw her walking in, my pulse would race and I would mentally prepare my mind to be dragged out by my hair outside to the gallows. Maybe they would kill me by the gate for the spies lurking around to see as a warning and then they would hang my head up on a spike.Worse what if they made me watch as they rape her and then kill her instead? The rogue alpha did mention that he has use for him, I wondered if the use was big enough for the lives of his two warriors.Definitely not. I concluded.A moment later she walked back to the pack house, I was about to call her when some irritated voice asked, “How long have you been in one spot?”When I came face to face with the soldier, I imagined him to be the one who stabbed me, but that one had more roughness and wicked edges to him
Sybil’s POVThe calamity yesterday had subsided. Dead bodies were dragged out and amongst them was the soldier who fell off the balcony.Upon seeing him I straightened my already ramrod back, breath hitched in my throat. A General walked forward and peered at the bodies of the soldiers. He kicked the soldier I killed and turned to face me.“Where did you find him?” He asked the floor soldiers who were angry at the loss of their comrades.“Behind the pack house, he seemed to have fallen down.”The girl from last night was here as well. I watched as she shifted from one foot to the other, how she pinched her fabric and kept running her free palm up and down her skirt.Staring at her made my heartbeat increase rapidly, thudding like the hooves of horses in war. I should look away for my sanity but I can’t seem to find the ability to rip my gaze off her. At the back of my mind, a voice niggled persistently that if I looked away she might rat me out. For all I knew my gaze could be the thi
