Chapter 16

Lucien was woken up by the ring of his phone. With his eyes remaining closed, he lazily reached for his phone on the bedside table and answered the call directly without looking at the caller's id.

"I fxcking hate you. Go die." A woman's voice sounded before the call abruptly ended.

He was startled. He got up and looked at the caller. It has Zephyra's name on it.

What was that?

He dialled the number but it was rejected. He called her again but she rejected it again.

What is wrong with her?

Racking his mind thinking what he had done, he got up from the bed and went next door. He pressed her doorbell and then knocked three times.

No one answered. He knocked again and called out for her name.

She didn't open the door but he received a call from her which he immediately answered.

"Hey, what did I do?" he asked quickly.

"I called the wrong person. Don't worry about it and go back. Sorry for disturbing your sleep."

"You sounded really angry. Who was it?"

"It was no one... ugh"
