Writer's POV
"Let's go to the karaoke bar." Said Mia as they made their way towards where Alex had his car parked. It was eight thirty in the evening and a lot of people were heading home.
"It's late, and I have books waiting for me."
"And here comes the old Alex." She pouted, buckling her seat belt. Sleep was completely erased off her eyes this time. And she looked active again. "This is the last I'll ask of you tonight. Please, please, please. I want to sing."
"Remind me never to go somewhere with you again, after today." Alex replied as he started the car. But he didn't mean it, he wanted to go different places with her and try new things just like the way he did today. He wanted her to take shots of me, with him unaware. He wanted to use any means he could get, just to hug her. To get close to her as possible. He wanted to eat all the rubbish with her, from vendors at the park. It was crazy
MiaFive days ago, left for Nigeria without spoking a word to me. Even when I tried to go hug when I first saw him, few hours after he had left my room. He took a step backwards like I was carrying a variation of plagues. On that day, he wasn't in a good mood. Earlier before he had left, he kept pacing back and forth out of frustration, and forking his fingers through his hair repeatedly, as he repeatedly dialed a number on his phone, and slammed it against his ear impatiently.I could still remember what had happened on the previous evening when he had took me out on a date."You know what, Jinsu. Let's order for pizza and wine." I had told him, not raising my head from the menu book. I knew he liked me using his middle name. That was the main reason I had even used it. To make him feel quite excited. Because excitement had been shooting through me since we went there. He made me so happy. Being with him was
Writer's POVShe could still remember how she had met him. Everything was still so fresh to her. So instead of dwelling in thoughts of how he had acted, she decided to think about everything all over again. She stepped into the hotel of Rachel Okafor on that evening, and halted on her tracks when she saw how grand the hotel was. She couldn't help admiring lthe hotel's exquisiteness. It was very huge, captivating, breathtaking and looked nothing like a Nigerian but those hotels in foreign countries. The atmosphere had this cool aura and smelt of rich roses. The garaged couldn't contain the numerous expensive looking cars, and wealthy-looking people were emerging from those cars. All the men were clad in black tuxedos while the women were dressed in black gowns.Mia stood on her ground, wondering how the owner of the hotel knew such wealthy and good looking people.Well, tho
Writer's POVThen on that night, on her way out of the eatery she had gone to her dinner, she got kidnapped by Tunde Ibrahim and his men. hot and her unconscious body which her kidnappers thought had given up the ghost, was dumped in a bush. However, she was rescued by someone who hurriedly took her to the hospital. There, the bullet was being operated out of her chest. And was being treated. The doctors and nurses thought that it was a miracle she survived a gunshot on the chest. And on the third day, she finally woke up.When she flicked her eyes opened hours later, she found a young man watching her. He was sitted on a chair close to the edge of her bed. Looking extremely rich, uneased and unmercifully viciously beautiful. His intimidating eyes, were the kind that could make ones heart skip a bit, when they landed at the person. He had thick brows and very long lashes, which Mia thought would make it difficult for him to scan things clearly. His
Writer's POVAfter Mia left the hospital. Things became really tough for her that she couldn't return back to her job. Because she knew she just survived death. If it wasn't for Alex, she knew she would have been dead. But God had sent him to save her. And the people who had wanted to kill her, were still out there. So it was best to be in the hidden, because if they by any chance see that she was alive, she would be gone for good. She could still remember how she had been beaten terribly, and then shot right in the chest on that night. It was something she never wanted to experience again. Because the bullet was like a sharp knife that was brought out from fire, and she being stabbed with it repeatedly. Despite the operation was performed, she was still feeling the severe pains on her chest. It really hurt.So she began looking for another job, since she was temporarily sacked. Her boss had told her not to return, until the issue with Tunde Ibrahim
Writer's POVMia had had enough of Alex, and knew was going to leave his house that moment. IShe felt was stupid. Stupid to have agreed to live with him. He had no right to treat her like that. She scoffed when she realized Alex was treating her like an animal, and was treating his dogs like humans. It hurt so much for someone to treat her like that. She had lived with her cousins and grandma. With them being extremely poor, but they had all been happy. Tolerate each other. Alex was actually the first person she was living with, Aside her grandma and cousins. None of them had made her feel the way Alex had. And she suddenly started missing her family. Felt the sudden urge to go meet them. Because she didn't feel herself anymore. She wanted to be where she would be given love and treated with respect. Not like a nuisance, the way Alex was treating her.She knew she would endanger their lives to go see them, but she needed to be around them, even if it
Writer's POVAfter spending an hour at the Museum, Mia and Alex went to the park. It was Mia who had insisted on them heading to the park, because according to her, they had not get started with the fun here. Something which made Alex curious. And he wondered what next they were going to do."Pack your car here, we'll have to walk from here." Mia said unbuckling her seat belt. When they were half a mile away from the park."Why?" Alex inquired, staring at her incredulously."Cause it's fun. Don't tell me you can't trek a bit?" Was Mia's reply, with a pout which made her looked like a kid. And Alex made no response to that. He unbuckled his seat belt and they hopped out of the car together. It was five pm in the evening and the pack was crowded with people, both young and old, having all kinds of fun together. The light wind blew Mia's hair as she walked ahead of Alex. Making him inhale the strawberry smell from her hair. He liked
Writer's POVMia thought Alex was beginning to change. But she realized she was wrong after what he just did to her.She was beginning to think if she should finally give up on trying to be close with him. Because he was being so hard headed and complicated. Wouldn't even let himself to be free. She thought maybe she was expecting too much from him. That he had been living a lonely life before she came. And she couldn't just expect him to change like that. But earlier when they had been at the museum, he had act carefree a bit. Was even laughing and smiling with her. Even took shots of her when she had begged him to.But now, he was going back to his shell , and being his old self again. Mia didn't even know where she was heading to, but she felt that she needed to be away from him at the moment. Because what he just did to her, was extremely rude."I'll eat it." Mia heard someone bellowed at the top of their lungs, like a crazed perso
Writer's POVShe flicked my one eye open, at the sound of the vexatious alarm clock. Then returned back to sleep. Wondering who the hell put the Alarm clock out.It felt like some one was hitting her head with a hammer, because she was having an heart shattering migraine."Fuck!" Mia hissed, and then let out a moan that sounded muffled against the pillow she had her face on.When she completely flicked her eyes open, she was nearly blinded by the harsh aggressive sunlight which, shone through her windows.Who the fuck put the curtains out this time!? She wonderedGroaning, she pressed her face tight into her pillow, but she couldnt return back to sleep. It felt like she was beaten thoroughly. Her head and eyes hurt. Shit. She hissedIt hurt even to think. Her mouth felt dry, and she could taste the grossness in her tongue. She was having a morning stink ass breath. That even with her mouth closed, the malodo
