A difficult situation

"What?" Sophia blurted out.

"Yeah, I want your body, just for a few hours. It won't take long, I promise. I'm so kind enough to take little out of people's things and leave the rest for others to enjoy too." he said, indirectly mocking her.

Even his tone disgusted Sophia at this point. She was irritated by the way he spoke about her as if she was food that should be shared.

She stood up angrily. "You could as well keep your money to yourself. Shameless asshole." She cursed. She was full of rage. Before she could get to the door, Kian pulled her back and threw her on the sofa. And with his hands, he pinned her down. He was obviously much stronger that she was.

"This is rape! How dare you?! Stop this--" Sophia voiced as she struggled.

"I guess you don't know who I am. You don't expect me to let you go after just the sight of your body has caused a rise in me."

"How is that my fault?!" Sophia yelled.

"Look, calm down. You have to chill. I don't like it rough either. Okay, 20 minutes. Just stay still for twenty minutes and I will be done."

"You must be crazy." Sophia said, glaring at him.

Kian was so bent on getting into her and she kept struggling endlessly. Suddenly, the door opened and a man entered.

Kian got off Sophia immediately due to the intrusion and also with the aid of Sophia's kicks.

"Guy...who skips knocking before entering people's house?" Kian expressed with discomfort written all over his face.

Sophia got up from the sofa also.

"Ain't in the mood for shit. What were you talking to me about earlier?" A familiar voice sounded and resounded in Sophia's ears. She turned around to see the person's face and it turned out to be Jason. She was gobsmacked on seeing him.

Jason's expression swiftly changed but he didn't display the fact that he knew her. After all, she only worked with him for less thank 24 hours.

Sophia hurriedly walked to the door with her face down.

"Catch you later, beauty!" Kian shouted and she turned around.

Sophia ignored him and hurried out. Jason didn't think much into whatever business she had with Kian, by the way. He only came to have a discussion regarding business with his cousin.

Totally hopeless.

"What now? We need to do something, Sophia." Dahlia pressed.

"What am I supposed to do? Go throw my self at that jerk like a worthless lady? Never!"

"I never said you should, sissy. I'd never allow such."

"Then what were you trying to say? Huh? I'm not trying enough? Ever since that incident, who's been taking care of mom and you? Tell me! Did anybody from our parents' sides show up? They all distanced themselves since that very day. Now you're trying to tell me that I'm not doing enough? Fine! I'm not doing enough. Dying would be better, right?" Sophia vented out all she had in her on her sister. That week was a very bad one for her. An extremely bad one.

"Sophia." A gentle voice broke the tensed atmosphere. The sisters turned to the door and saw their mom standing. A pretty figure in her late forties. Florie Armstrong.

"Mum." Sophia and Dahlia called out at the same time. They were quite surprised to see her standing there. Sophia felt like eating back all those words she poured out. She started to feel guilty for complaining. Her eyes turned teary immediately.

"Mum, I'm sorry." She muttered and let the tears flow freely.

Florie walked towards the bed and sat at the edge. Then she drew Sophia closer to her and hugged her tightly. "I'm the sorry one. I'm so sorry, love. It's all my fault. I should be the one taking care of you two."

"No mum. I shouldn't have complained." Sophia objected amidst tears. Soon, Florie started tearing up too and Dahlia joined them in the family embrace.

The little, pretty family cried and leaned against each other for quite a while. Then Florie gathered strength to prepare a nice meal for the family with the aid of her daughters.

At dinner, everyone ate with relief and happiness on their faces. It was like crying solved their problems.

They all talked and laughed over their meals until Sophia dropped a statement that felt like bomb.

"I miss dad."

The atmosphere became cool and quiet.

"I miss my hubby too." Florie joined and Sophia suddenly burst into laughter.

"I vividly remember how obsessed you were with him." Sophia jested.

"Me too. Darling, honey." Dahlia joined her sister.

"Thank you. I met him before you two." Florie said with pride.

"Let's go visit your dad tomorrow." Florie suggested.

"Good." Sophia commented and Dahlia nodded in agreement.

Sophia watched her sister and mom for some seconds. "I love you guys."

 "Love you too, sweetheart."

 "Love you too, sissy."

Sophia's head throbbed as her phone rang endlessly. She turned it off the first and second time but the caller didn't seem to give up. She groaned out of annoyance as she struggled to find her ringing phone. When she eventually found it, the caller's ID made sleep come off her eyes. It was Lady Nancy.

"Young lady, where did you keep your phone?" The old lady's voice came up.

 "I...granny, what's the problem?"

"Come to work immediately. You've been reinstated."

 "What?"

Sophia wondered why Jason suddenly took her back. What could be the reason? She thought as she walked up to his room. Her heart beat so fast as she approach the most dreaded room in that building. The thought of what happened the day before even made her feel embarrassed.

"Come in." She heard immediately she knocked. On getting in, she saw that the lights were on this time around. Giving her a clear view of what the room looked like. She expected it to be spacious of course but what she saw passed her imagination. The room was so expansive, well furnished with a king-sized bed, sofas, a centre table, centre rug and enabling electronics. A chandelier was hung at the centre of the room, shedding so much bright glow in the already lit-up room.

The bedroom defined money.

It was not until Sophia finished admiring the room that she realized that Jason was not in the room.

She was so unsure of what to do. Whether to stay at that spot or move in further. Before she could make a decision in her mind, a figure stepped out of a huge and vast room that Sophia guessed to be a closet. It was Jason. And he was....he was....shirtless!

As a matter of fact, a white towel wrapped around his waist was the only thing on him. Then he held some clothes in a hand. He was dripping wet and that communicated to Sophia that he just had his bath not quite long.

Sophia bit her tongue to stop herself from screaming at the sight. This master of hers was so hot!

Jason turned to look her with his dark brown eyes. They turned out to be cold.

"Why are you just standing there? Come here." He ordered in that cold voice, sending a cold rush down Sophia's spine. Come here to do what? She thought in her mind. What was he trying to do?

Before his anger rose, she immediately obeyed his orders, tightening her guard. If he tried anything crazy, she'd fight for herself.

Sophia found herself yearning to touch his skin so badly. She'd come to her senses one minute and the next, the yearning is back.

He was backing her, doing only what God knows. She was so close to touching him then he suddenly turned around, grabbed her hand and drew him closer.

His expression was so cold. He shot her a killing glare. "I don't do sluts." He said. Sophia's expression changed immediately.

 "I wasn't trying to--"

"Shut it. Never in your life should you dare to touch me."

Sophia was close to get mad but she kept it all in. "Besides, what you saw yesterday was--"

He let go of her hand immediately and turned around to continue what he was doing. "I don't care whoever you sleep with. The bathroom irritates me, go clean it up."

It was evening. Time to retire from work. Sophia went in search of Lady Nancy to get her consent before leaving the villa.

"Alright dear. How about you have dinner with me before you leave?" The old lady proposed.

"I'd love to but I have plans with my family already."

  "Alright then. See you tomorrow."

From the workers' quarters, they saw Jason leave the house in a completely black outfit. His right-hand, Leo, drove a black Maybach to the entrance of the house to pick him up. He got into the car and the car drove away.

Jason's outfit's colour combination was so weird and Sophia didn't waste time in thinking too much into it. She hurriedly left the house.

The plans she had with her family was to go visit her father's grave. It's been quite a while. She dropped by at a flower store on her way home and got some flowers.

On getting home, she met her Florie and Dahlia dressing up already then she quickly changed her outfit too. She was never a fan of makeup because she believed and knew she was just beautiful without any adoration. People's compliments affirmed her natural beauty also.

On stepping into the living room, Dahlia squeezed her face. "Why not just apply a little make up? Just a little, sis. You don't wanna look good for dad?"

"I'm pretty already, Dahlia. Let's not waste time."

"Sit down, I'll do some touches on your face." Dahlia insisted and Sophia knew there was no point protesting. Dahlia was just as stubborn as she was.

  Gwen Stone.

The pretty family dropped flowers on Cyrus Armstrong's grave one after the other, according to their positions in the family. Florie first, Sophia next, and then Dahlia last.

Each of them expressed themselves there and talked as if he was present. His presence was felt and them embraced it.

"We miss you, dad!" Dahlia exclaimed and everyone's smile faded away gradually. What they felt wasn't complete sadness but their memories each with Cyrus came rushing back at the same time.

The good and bad times they spent together, picturing everything in their minds. Before they could think of the circumstances around his death, Sophia did something.

"Worker bee." She said and suddenly, they all laughed.

That was the term they used to refer to their father as when he was alive. He worked so hard but despite that, he always made out time for them. He was literally the best dad and husband to them.

Reminiscing of fine memories started again and went on for a quite a while. Sophia looked up randomly and her eyes caught someone.

"Is there any problem with my eyes?" She thought innerly. She could see a man on black outfit from afar and it kinda looked like Jason.

"He can't be the one." she concluded and chuckled quietly until the person was a few metres away and she could see his face clearly. It was indeed Jason.

She watched him quietly as he headed towards a grave stone and stopped in front of it. He placed a big flower bouquet on the gravestone and remained there for a while. He seemed to be communicating with her with no feedback in return.

Who could the gone person be? She thought hard.

"Let's get going." Florie announced all of a sudden.

Sophia wasn't ready to leave but she'd get suspected if she decided to wait behind. What was she going to tell her mum? Florie had no idea about her work with Jason. She'd have been strongly against it. How could a graduate of business administration go work as a housekeeper in a good-for-nothing brat's house? She'd never allow it.

Just as they were about to get to the entrance of the place, Sophia turned around to take a look at Jason once more but she was shocked at the far-distance sight. It seemed like Jason was crying. Wait, Jason was crying?
