The door was just few seconds from giving way when Aurora realized that crying wouldn't help. Since she had already figured that no one was coming to save her, she had herself only.

She grabbed the kitchen knife and wiped her tears, trying to control the rate of her heart beat with every hit Alex had on the breaking door.
