“When did she get here?” John asked in a casual voice as he picked up the football from the ground.

“About thirty minutes ago,” I answered. Rubbing the bridge between my eyes, to calm the headache I felt approaching.

“I sense that you are about to be in for some deep trouble my friend,” Gio added with a shake of his head.

I scoffed, and rolling my eyes, I sighed, “Tell me something I don’t know.”

“Where is she now?” John asked, peeking over my shoulder, assuming she was trailing after me, like she usually did.

It’s when he does little things like that, I start to assume he has something for her.

I pointed my thumb backwards, “In my mother’s room, gathering herself together.”
