Chapter 36 - Protective brother

Anderson didn’t want Avery to see him like that. She might think he was a violent person. He was about to lift himself but froze when Avery wrapped her small arms around him to help him up. A few of the maids and security men were around, their mouths refusing to close. They never thought their boss could be like this.

“I'm sorry Love, am not always like this,” he apologized to her.

“He deserved it,” Avery looked into his eyes happily and responded. Anderson was both surprised and relieved like never before, instantly locking his lips with hers. They only stopped when Sophia ran past them to Tom.

She had screamed for Anderson to stop severally but it was as if she was talking to a stick. He didn’t hear her but Avery called him once and he stopped.

Sophia was about to pull Tom from the ground but was surprised when he wrapped his arms around her thighs, sobbing like a child. “I’m sorry Sophia, I will get help.”
