Chapter 61 - Joyce's mum

“It seems that you have company,” Martin teased as soon as he pressed stop the ignition. Joyce smiled but it was a nervous one.

Her house wasn’t gated so the two cars had already occupied the paved area, forcing Martin to park by the side of the road since the remaining space was covered with lawns and hedges.

Martin went around to open the door for her and she stepped down. Since no one had stepped down from the two cars, she could already tell that they were inside the house.

The fact that two of her exes were in her house saying whatever they wanted to her mother when another man followed her was scary. “Nervous?’ Martin asked since she hadn’t uttered a word.

“Yes,” Joyce answered truthfully. Not knowing how to face the two men together, she was grateful that Martin was here. Martin smiled at her and said proudly,

“Don’t forget that your boyfriend is here. You can leave the talking to me,” he said in that domineering tone that always made her feel hot.
