Before going to work, I went straight to Johnny’s office to give my resignation letter.

Johnny’s secretary asked me to enter his office because Johnny was expecting me.

“Good morning, Diana.” His smile was wide. “What’ve you brought here this morning? Sit down first.”

I sit down so we can talk well.

“What do you want? Coffee? Tea? Juice? Food?”

I glare at him.

“Woah! Wait! The way you glare at it is like I did something to you. You’re the one who did wrong to me.”

I pointed to myself. “Me? What is my fault with you?” I ask.

He is the one who has done me wrong. He knew I was avoiding seeing Alex, but he didn’t tell me he was already back.

“That you have a baby. You have a child. Why didn’t you say that you already have a child? If I hadn’t been to the party last night, I wouldn’t know about your child—wait—did Andrew know about your daughter?”
