“What?” She asked as she placed the phone on speaker. She looked up to Greg and knew he was slightly surprised that she spoke like that. It wasn’t like her. He knew then how tired and worn out she really was.

“Are you done with this farce?” Her mother asked. “I don’t know how you got all your stuff out of the house, but it is time to come back and end this little stunt you are playing. I mean, Kristen, we all know you aren’t with a man. It is simply impossible to think about. That is how we should have known you were lying last night.”

“Mom, it isn’t a stunt,” Kristen said. “I moved out. I am fine, and right now, I am unpacking, so I am a little busy and tired.”
