Chapter Thirty- Seven: My father-in-law hates me
"Arissa! Arissa!" I heard Lucas call me.
I slow down but I didn't stop. It was hard to turn around and look at him after what I have heard inside. I'm happy Lucas is my one true mate, but I didn't expect things to be like this for us. Having his father hating me, I know for sure that it won't be easy for me. I mean what if his father's hatred towards me causes Lucas to no longer love me. I don't have the strength to deal with that. I cried.
Lucas caught upon me. He held my right hand from behind and stopped me pulling me towards him. My head buried into his chest as he did, crying my eyes out and both of my hands went around him squeezing him like a pillow.
