"Mom, whose money are you talking about here?"

"Isn't that all your money? They were sent in the name of your account. I can't be wrong. Girl, if you really want to ask for the excess just tell me. I can't possibly let you live a hard life."

"First, I didn't send anything. Second, how much money did you receive, mom?"

Jessica knew her mother well, a small amount of money would not make her mother so grateful. There will be no excess money.  There was never any extra money that Michelle could save for herself or for her children.

"It’s 5 million dollars," Michelle immediately stated the amount of money happily. How come did you hide it from me, you should—”

"Five million? Impossible!!"  Jessica was shocked on the other side of the phone.

That amount was more than enough to pay Michael tution free until he graduated. Alas, Jessica never had that kind of money. She hadn't been working for long and never had a million in her account. 

That was after fairly tight budgeting so that Jessica could set aside a portion of her income to buy investment products.  All that money definitely didn't belong to her. Where's all that money coming from?

Michelle said that she had told Michael to contact her and ask for some money for university enrollment.  Michelle didn't expect Jessica to be so generous in sending such a large amount of money for her brother. 

Michael did contact Jessica. She didn't pick up his call because she was caught between Alicia and Theodore yesterday. So she messaged her brother afterward.

Michael didn't say much. He only said that he missed his sister and wanted to know how she was doing, such as is Jessica okay and have her eat properly. Her brother is indeed the only one in the world.  She was grateful to have Michael as her younger brother.  Jessica was even more grateful that Michael didn't inherit her mother's traits.  Her younger brother is very modest, understanding, and very caring.

Michael didn't even mention the slightest bit about university enrollment fees to Jessica.  He did not dare to burden his sister further regarding money.

Now that her mother had received that amount of money, Jessica was unsure and immediately checked her bank account.  There have indeed been some large transactions that have taken place in the last few dates.

The five million dollars suddenly appeared in her account and was immediately transferred to her mother's account.  Jessica used her lunch hour to check the origin of the money in her account and how it was in her account.

After further checking, Jessica finally knew the origin of the money.  The money came from the Falcon Foundation's finances.  One of the foundations under Falcon Enterprise, but why did the foundation office send such a large amount of money to her account?

That afternoon Jessica went to the Falcon Foundation office, as the headquarter representative to do some checking.  To her surprise, Jessica did not find any records in the Falcon foundation office explaining the transfer of funds to her account.

The five million yuan was not recorded in the Falcon foundation's books.  It was as if the money had never been there.  Not even with shipping transactions to her account.  The money is like a ghost.

"Miss Becker, I've been looking for you all this afternoon. Where did you go?" It's Ervin Claymont, Finance Director of Falcon Enterprise. He stopped Jessica when she wanted to go back into her office.

"Mr. Calymont, I'm sorry, I went to the Falcon Foundation office to check on something."

"You dare to go to the Falcon Foundation office to check something? You are really shameless. Come with me to the conference room. The internal audit committee has been looking for you!"

 The internal audit department is looking for me? 

Could it be about the amount of money that went into her account?  

Jessica's heart felt like it had fallen into her stomach.  What exactly happened?
