I paced back and forth in my room awaiting Miles's return. He had been gone the whole day and I was starting to get worried. What could be keeping him? Did he find her? Did he not? I couldn’t tell and the suspense was killing me. To ease my tension, I slipped out to the forest and changed into my wolf.

The sensations that filled me as my claws came out from my fingers and as my tail emerged slowly with my complete transformation were enough to ease my stress. Being in my wolf form always helped to calm my nerves down. The feel of the winds on my fur was always an underrated therapy. I ran around for a while easing out my stress until I was completely numb. I strut back to the pack house and slipped into my room. Thankfully brown eyes welcomed me.

"I was starting to think you went off on your own," Miles said the moment I walked into the room.

"I am starting to regret giving you access to my room," I stated with a roll of my eyes. If I had the time, I would have given him an ear
