“I don’t think having a human as a mate is a bad thing. I just feel like they are really fragile and the fear of wanting to always protect them might take from the little time you even have to spend with her.”

I crossed my arms and glared at him. “What then is the problem?”

“She already has a mate.”

Again my brows rose at his answer. “How is that even possible? The goddess doesn’t make mistakes. Are you sure about this?” I asked him.

Miles nodded his head weakly and I realised he was telling the truth. But how could the goddess assign more than one mate to the girl?

"Do you feel any physical pain?" I asked him. If the girl had another mate and he indeed, met her, surely he should be feeling pains as she sleeps with another partner.

"Not yet. I hope it doesn't come," he whispered as he dropped onto my bed.
