The smell of pancakes penetrated my nostrils, seducing my senses awake.

My eyes fluttered open, and I stretched out my stiff limbs on the bed.

I sat up begrudgingly and immediately groaned in pain, my head throbbing like a crane had been parked on top of my head. What the hell happened to me last night?

The memory flooded my mind in fragments as I tried to massage the pain away, but before I could make sense of them, bile rose to my throat, and I made a beeline for the bathroom.

I hurled everything in my stomach into the toilet bowl. A second later, and I could have missed it.

The pungent smell of vomit filled the air after I had emptied my stomach, and I sat on the floor of the bathroom, utterly confused.

All I could remember was going out with Mason, then shit…I grabbed my head. He’d seen me naked again. I glanced down and found a black robe I didn’t recognize around my body.
