Like everything in Malibu, this mall was fancy. It was not the usual cut out of the brick ones I was used to. This one was polished with porcelain walls and lights that seemed to start from the sky itself.

But unlike me, Taylor was bubbling with excitement. For a long time shopping used to be my inner child healing. Picking more clothes than I needed to try on and laugh at with Taylor.
