SEBASTIAN’s POV..
My Beta stormed into the pack house.
I looked up at him questioningly. I was seated on a chair in the lounge. I was getting some paperwork done. Lately, a lot of contracts from other packs had been coming in for the Pixon pack.
Michael looked serious. Something must have happened. He was a tall man with hair as dark as the night. His body build was massive and intimidating. His cargo pants and sleeveless top complimented the image that he was passing across.
I dropped the papers I had been trying to go through and got to my feet. I grew more serious as I watched him.
"Alpha Sebastian," he began breathlessly.
"What happened?" I demanded. His demeanor gave away the secret.
Michael approached me. "We ran into some rogue wolves at the north wall," he began. He folded his arms and stopped before me.
On close inspection, I noticed scratches on his neck. There were still traces of blood on his skin. The rogues must have put up a really big fight. Normally, Michael never had to try so hard. He always put down his enemies in one go.
"This close? They never dare come here because they know we'll finish them off," I retorted in surprise.
We always faced rogues on adventures outside the wall. The rogue wolves were outcasts. They had no pack and it was where the worst wolves could be found. They usually attacked us whenever we were outside our calls and would never come this close to our wall.
Only if they had a death wish or they had something big backing them up. I furrowed my brows at the thought. Was something big coming?
"So, did you take care of them?" I asked.
There was another reason why I hated rogues. It was rumored that they were behind the true Alpha and his daughter's death thirteen years ago. My father was left with no choice but to inherit the title for the safety of our pack.
His reign was over now and I was in charge of protecting the people. I could not let the rogues anywhere close to our walls. I could not afford to allow the mistake that happened for thirteen years to repeat itself.
"We did our best. We were able to capture three. The rest got away. I could not even tell how many of them were present at the attack," Michael confessed.
I nodded my head in understanding. This meant that they were different from the rogues we knew or they had grown and changed. This was only bad news for me. But the fact that Michael had captured them was going to help us learn more about the mysterious rogues.
"Where are you keeping them?" I demanded.
Michael released his hands. The tension he felt before had started wearing off. Although, his face was still wet with sweat.
"The dungeons," he answered.
I packed up the papers I had been dealing with. I was wearing a dark top and a pair of cargo pants just like Michael.
"Take me to them. I would like to ask them a few questions," I instructed.
Michael nodded. "I doubt if you'll get anything out of it but do question them," Michael voiced out before giving in anyway.
He gestured at the way forward. I followed him. We walked out of the pack house. The gates were still ten meters away and there was still a lot more space behind the pack house. That was where the underground dungeons were situated.
The past Alphas had deemed it fit to have the dungeon underground. This would prevent easy escapes or break-ins since there was only one way in and one way out.
Michael led me to the back of the building. There was a small house that could not have been bigger than five square meters. There were guards at the entrance as well as around the building. The small building was a camouflage for the real entrance to the dungeon.
When the guards spotted Michael and me, they pulled the doors open without questions and allowed us in. We stepped into the small house. There were some chairs arranged with torture equipment on the table. This was to confuse whoever came to break a person out.
Michael led me to the kitchen which had a basement. He pushed it open and the stairs led below into the darkness.
As a child, coming here brought fear to my heart but the day I found out what was inside, I only scoffed. It was never a scary pit for a monster in the end. It was just a boring old cell.
Michael exhaled and entered the darkness. I followed him in and the deeper we got, the more our eyes adjusted to the darkness and we started to see clearly. It was one of the advantages of being a werewolf. We could see clearly even in the dark.
We reached the end of the staircase. There was another door. Michael pulled it open and it opened up into a large room that had multiple cells arranged in a way that a breakout was impossible.
There was a large space in the center for walking through the cell rooms. Stone and iron bars were the most used materials for building this place.
The moment we stepped in, we heard a woman's voice vibrating with anger as she yelled at someone.
Michael gave me a look and sighed. I figured he knew who it was. It had to be one of the rights they brought back. So they managed to capture a female rogue. Interesting.
We kept walking down the large space and made turns until we reached the cell where the noise was coming from.
I spotted a woman with long wavy hair. She wore a faded t-shirt and a pair of pants. She had boots on and her voice carried authority as she spoke.
For a moment, I got affected by her words and I felt compelled to heed her bidding. Only Alphas had this power over their pack members. She was not one of us, neither was sue an alpha. We had never heard of a female alpha too. Why then was her aura and mood affecting me this?
"Let my friends go! You cannot keep us here as you please!" she exclaimed.
"What is going on here?" I demanded as I approached them.
Michael turned to the other guards. "What have you not tried to shut her up? She's causing too much noise!" he ordered.
The men cowered under his gaze. Until one of them found the courage to speak.
"We tried but we could not. I don't know how she's doing it. She's scary!" The man exclaimed and hurried away from the cell.
I raised my brows at her. "Who are you?" I demanded.
"Who's asking?" She answered my question with a question.
She glared straight into my eyes. Her ocean-blue eyes made her look different from most of the women I had encountered. I was intrigued by her. I wanted to know what she had up her sleeves.
"Show some respect!" Michael yelled.
I placed a hand on Michael's shoulder. "I am Alpha Sebastian of the Pixon Pack," I answered her.
"Oh, so you are the Alpha? I've heard a lot about you. You're not so intimidating up close," she stated and I watched a smile creep up her face.
She was the one on the bad end yet she made it seem like she was better off than we were. She was not even scared that I could go angry and demand her head in a plate. Her level of confidence was something I wanted to learn from.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you. I told you my name, it's time for you to do the same," I shot back.
She scoffed and rolled her eyes before looking back at him. "Apology not accepted," she added and folded her arms together.
Her smile never faltered. She knew exactly what she was doing. She was teasing me. She was trying to toy with me.
"I asked you a question," I asked again.
She tilted her head at me before signing. "I'm Hailee," she answered.
I raised my brows at her. "Come on darling, you can do better than that. Your full name? Your pack? Your purpose at the walls?" I demanded hoping that she would start spilling everything.
But instead, the woman in the cell placed a hand on her hips stylishly. "I won't tell you anything. Release my friends immediately!" She exclaimed and the guards covered their ears in pain.
I stared at her for a long time. I was more than intrigued by her. I needed to keep her by my side until I got all the information I wanted to get from her. I suddenly broke into laughter.
"You are quite interesting. I think I'll keep this one," I told Michael.
"I'm not a thing to be kept!" She exclaimed.
"We'll see about that," I said. Then I turned to Michael. "Give me the keys to her cell," I instructed him.
"What are you saying? She's dangerous. You cannot—" Michael stopped halfway when he saw the way I was glaring at him.
He gave me the keys in defeat. I unlocked the door. Hailee stared at me in surprise and I did not give her the chance to speak.
I approached her and swiftly lifted her off the ground. I placed her on my shoulders and took off.
"What the fuck? Put me down! Let me go!" Screamed but I paid no attention to her screams.
I already had the best punishment for her in mind and I smiled as I carried her away.
HAILEE.A month went by,Hailee and Sebastian continued to feel the sorrow of not knowing where their baby was. Hailee was mentally as well as physically drained as a result of the restless nights and relentless crying. Sebastian was tortured by seeing her in anguish and felt unable to stop it.After another day of futile searching, Sebastian brought Hailee to their room one night. As she sobbed herself to sleep, he comforted her while holding her close. He resolved to do all in his power to locate his kid and bring him back safely after seeing her in such pain.Sebastian quietly slipped out of the room as Hailee slept to care to his responsibilities as the beta and keep the pack together during this trying time. The pack was feeling quite emotional since they had missed its alpha and beta. As Arlo's absence rumors and suspicions spread like wildfire, the pack members were tense and uneasy.Sebastian put forth a lot of effort, answering questions, providing assurances, and attempting to
HAILEE.Hailee and Sebastian sat across from one another at a gorgeously set table while the garden was bathed in the mellow glow of dusk. Arlo was sound asleep nearby. In sharp contrast to the turbulence they had both experienced, the environment was serene and tranquil.Sebastian wanted to make this dinner date ideal for Hailee, so he stared at her with a mixture of adoration and tenderness. He admitted, a faint smile teasing his lips, "I've missed occasions like these. "I always enjoyed being with you, despite the fact that we used to fight sometimes."His words warmed Hailee's heart, and she stretched across the table to grip his hand tenderly. She said, her voice quiet and honest, "I missed you too. Our time was so heavily consumed by the pack's duties, although. While nodding, Sebastian fixed his gaze on hers. He replied with a hesitant, "I'd like that," in his voice. And I want to express my regret one more for how I handled you when you first came to the pack. I made a mistake
After some weeks and few days had passed the hurt and rage Hailee felt didn't go away. She was aware that in order to solve the suffering she and the pack had through, she would have to face Dolph and Clara head-on. She summoned them over to the house and got ready for a challenging and emotional discussion.Hailee's eyes flashed with piety as Dolph and Clara approached her. She couldn't believe how blatantly they had broken her confidence.Hailee started by saying, "I trusted you both," her voice shaken from crying. "You were like a member of my family to me, and you betrayed my faith in the worst way ever."Dolph attempted to cut in, "Hailee, I-"Hailee interrupted him, "No, don't interrupt," her expression flashing with rage. "You are not entitled to an explanation. Nothing you say can make what you did acceptable.Hailee's heart briefly shook as Dolph asked for forgiveness, but she was aware that it wouldn't undo the harm they had caused.Dolph remarked with regret in his voice, "
HAILEE. Finally Hailee decided to tell Sebastian what she actually saw. Taking a deep breath to steady herself Hailee turn to face Sebastian as she said. "I saw Dolph making love to Clara your fiance".Sebastian His jaw clenched in rage as his expression darkened. He found it difficult to control the wave of feelings that overcame him, including betrayal, hurt, and protective inclinations toward Hailee. You saw them together, right? Sebastian questioned, his voice laced with skepticism, hoping there had been a miscommunication.Hailee nodded while her eyes started to cry up. She said, her voice shaking with pain and danger, "Yes, I saw them having an affair together."As Sebastian became aware of the severity of Hailee's suffering, his heart sunk. He comforted her by gently luring her into his arms where he held her close. He said softly, "I'm truly sorry you had to witness that," his voice full of regret.Hailee clutched to him as she sought comfort in his company. She cried out, "I
SEBASTIAN. Sebastian comforted the wailing infant by holding him in his arms. Hailee could hear her son crying from the other room even though she was busy doing pack job. She gave him and Arlo a quick glance as they came in and groaned with a mixture of weariness and worry. He has been crying nonstop. Hailee said, casting a weary smile towards Sebastian, "I guess he's hungry and tired.Sebastian agreed, realizing how difficult it may be to care for a cranky baby. He gently rocked Arlo in his arms and replied, "All right, I'll try to feed him."Hailee carried on with her responsibilities while Sebastian assumed over, certain that Arlo was in capable hands. But just as she focused on her job, she groaned in agony and cried out a little. "Ouch!"Sebastian gave her a worried glance. He was worried and said, "What happened?"Hailee said, massaging her tender breast. "He bit me," she said. "I believe he is hurting from teething,"Sebastian's expression alternated between astonishment and
SEBASTIAN Sebastian remained beneath the pouring rain with his head cocked back, feeling the icy droplets slide down his face. He didn't mind being wet because the rain appeared to reflect the anguish he was experiencing within. The burden of the most current details left him emotionally and physically weary and worn out.He was divided in his emotions, torn between his love for Hailee and the unresolved pain from their previous relationship. He couldn't fight the want to possess a child with her or the yearning to hold her by his side for the rest of his life. He had a strong feeling of desire for a family, with Hailee as his partner and a child to continue their history. He had no choice but to express his mind as he looked up at the moon. He said, a mixture of fury and emotion in his voice, "Moon goddess, you've made my life so difficult." "I want to be with her because I love her, but it's not that easy."Then he remembered his father, the previous Alpha, who had killed the secon
