Weeks, it had been four long weeks since the attack.

I felt trapped like a prisoner. Zach wouldn't let me go anywhere without a bodyguard ever since the night of his parents' anniversary. Of course he wouldn't tell me why he was being so protective but I had to align to his will to avoid the drama.

The house had become heavily guarded. Guests had to be thoroughly searched and scanned before being let into the premises. Even Marv couldn't visit at my will until Zach permitted. He was being ridiculous by saying that everyone was a suspect.

I unwrapped my arms from around me and turned away from the window to stare at him, engrossed in whatever he was doing on his phone.

"Can I talk to you about something?"

He looked up at me for a second. "Sure."

"How long is this going to continue?"
