"Why?"

I groaned, "What do you mean why? Your mom is in the guest room downstairs."

"Can you repeat that last sentence?" She innocently asked.

I was confused but I repeated it anyway. "Your mom is in the guest room downstairs?"

"Back to my room, duh?" She removed her arm from my grip hurriedly.

"I thought we had a deal." I said.

"We did. We have to pretend in front of my mom and she's not coming upstairs anytime soon so I do not have to share a room with you." She responded.

"Running away? We've had separate rooms since forever Zachary." She scoffed.
