"Good morning, Alpha", Castor greets with a smile as Marvin walks out of his room dressed in a suit. "Same, Castor", Marvin replies. "What's for breakfast?" "Cereals for me, I don't know about the rest of the house" "I'll just have coffee then", Marvin decides. "Is your mother around?" "No, I'll go find her" "Don't bother, finish up with your breakfast so that you won't be late", Marvin waives and walks into the kitchen. Marvin soon walks out of the kitchen with a cup of coffee in hand and then proceeds to look for Stacey. He finds her in the laundry room and stops at the door. "Stacey" "Marvin. Good morning", she smiles. "I see you haven't made breakfast yet" "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know you were going to the office today. Karen is still in bed and the rest have gone out already so I thought I could do the laundry before making breakfast", she apologizes. "That's actually fine, I wasn't feeling up to breakfast" "Okay, but won't you take anything at all?" "I already mad
"Marvin!", Trevor calls out in confusion at Marvin's declaration but Marvin was rushing in already. "Guards, there's an intruder!", he yells nonetheless. The ongoing work in the building is immediately paused as all the workers strive to find the intruder. "I heard there's an intruder, sir. How did you spot the intruder?", the head of the construction who was a human asks. "The CEO was the one who raised the alarm, I only helped to spread the alarm" "Where is he?" "He went chasing after the intruder", Trevor repeats and the man walks off. "I wonder what this is about", he sighs. 'I know you're here', Marvin speaks through his wolf link as he runs up one of the staircases. The elevators had stopped working which had to be her doing. He had tried cutting off as many people as he could from his mind link but some wolves that didn't need to hear were still going hear what he had said. 'Nice one', his wolf suddenly hears and he pauses. Gabriella. 'Find me if you can' 'Are you a
"Marvin!", Trevor calls as he runs up the staircase in search of Marvin. 'I'm coming, just stay where you are', Trevor hears through his mind link and immediately pauses. After a while of waiting, Marvin finally reaches where Trevor stood and Trevor sighs in relief on seeing him. "Are you alright?" "Obviously", Marvin grunts in reply and a small smile plasters itself on Trevor's face. "So how did you know there were intruders?", Trevor asks once they are walking down the staircase. "What do you think?", Marvin replies. "Well, I have two speculations that both have large uncertainties involved", Trevor responds. "Spill" "You could have probably sniffed that there was an intruder. I don't know how that's possible though with the number of men we have on site alongside the humans but I guess Alphas could be cool that way. I haven't heard of that power though" "And the second option?" "One of the intruders was someone from our pack", Trevor replies and Marvin frowns. "How did
"Come and look at my little princess", Irvin declares once Trevor and Marvin enter the room where he stood with the newborn child in his arms while Karen sat on the bed watching him. "It's a girl", Marvin breathes out. "Of course it is, did you think the moon goddess wouldn't grant the wishes of most of the inhabitants of this home?", Irvin chuckles. "The male pup team was actually larger", Trevor reminds. "Don't tell me Marvin was rooting for a male pup too" "A pup is a pup. Besides, I am still happy even though Karen dashed my hopes", Marvin replies and Karen smiles. "My hopes were dashed too. Look at how he's cuddling her but he hasn't even touched me since I gave birth", Karen whines. "Irvin!", Trevor and Marvin complain and Irvin laughs. "I was holding her throughout the birth procedure", Irvin argues. "And so?", Trevor retorts and Karen beams with smiles. "I knew you will be on my side! My Alpha and Beta have never disappointed me", Karen rejoices and everyone laughs.
"Marvin, what are you doing up here?", Trevor asks as he walks into Marvin's office and shuts the door behind himself. "Nothing much, I'm just going over the plans to see if everything is pushing through perfectly. I find it difficult to relax nowadays, I can't wait till we're done with everything concerning the setup" "Of course you must feel this way, you're the boss!", Trevor laughs and sits on one of the chairs opposite Marvin. "This temporary office of yours is quite really getting more comfortable as the days pass by. You're going to be mighty attached to this place before it's finally time to move out" "I guess so", Marvin shrugs. "So what do you think about the execution? Is everything going on smoothly?" "Yeah, it is. The security system is not yet complete in this building because of the accident days ago but every other building is secured. The fencing security is still incomplete too but we're only two days behind schedule and everything was supposed to be completed
"What are you doing?", Marvin sighs frustratedly as he shuts the door of his office. "How did you know I was here?", she mutters. "The same way I figured you were here the last time", Marvin deadpans. "That's not possible" "Because you used a scent concealer?", Marvin asks and her eyes widen. "It was only hard initially. Once I started following you, it only got easier and easier", he explains and she curses. "Why are you doing this when you could be on my side instead? Did you see how everyone looked at you the moment I said you're my Luna?" "My people were only surprised because they were kept in the dark, they don't care about your temporary status", she retorts, laying further emphasis on the word 'temporary' as she spoke. "And my men? They were surprised alright but they were just a little away from kneeling to you even though you are the enemy", he tells her and she rolls her eyes. "Respect is something I've attracted since childhood, it is nothing to me now", she yawns.
"I don't know what to do, Father", Gabriella complains to her father from where she sat in his office. "Alicia was so hostile towards me, it was like she finally had proven that I'm not an efficient leader" "How dare her do that to her future Alpha? She should be punished", Richard growls. "Punishing her will only reduce her respect for me even more" "So are you expecting me to keep calm and watch my daughter be disrespected?", he fires back. "Father..." "I get that it's kind of weird for a grown woman like you to be having mate issues but still, she has no right to judge you" "Well, Alicia is kind of perfect. She has a loving mate, a beautiful daughter and a family that is supportive of her job as a soldier of this pack", Gabriella mutters and Richard frowns. "Don't give me that crap, Gabriella, you know you have me. And Varus too" "I wasn't being jealous, don't worry about that. I was just trying to say that with how perfect she is, it's not so out of place for her to judge
"Greetings Priestess", Gabriella greets as she walks into the dainty room where the priestess sat waiting. "Alpha princess, you may have a seat" "The scent concealer didn't work, priestess", she complains without stalling as she sits. "What?", the priestess exclaims. "He could still find me, Priestess" "But Alphas come from across Wisconsin to buy this scent concealer when they are going to scout other packs" "So why didn't it work for me?" "Gabriella, do you remember what I told you when you came to me about this issue for the first time?", she asks and Gabriella sighs. "You told me that if the Moon goddess gave me a second mate it was because I was not meant to be alone. You also said that it must be the reason why the rejection didn't work" "And when you told me why you couldn't accept him as your mate, what did I say?", the priestess questions again and Gabriella shifts on her chair. "You said that maybe the Moon goddess wanted me to give up on my ambition", she relucta
