CHAPTER SEVEN: Where am I?

I opened my eyes and then I roamed it around.

I immediately rose up when I saw that I laid down on the sofa. As I was seated, I tried to roam around my eyes again and I don’t know where I am now.

I tried to stand up but I couldn't straighten my feet because I felt an ache in my left leg. Suddenly, I tried to look at it and I saw it had a bandage. I just sat down first to ease the pain from it.

I suddenly remembered what happened to me last night. There are three men chasing me which makes me run. Until I stumbled and fell to the floor. I don't know what happened next and as suddenly, I lost consciousness afterward.

"You're awake." I turned to that person who spoke and I saw a man enter, coming from the door then he closed it.

For a moment, I felt nervous and tried to embrace my body covering and protecting myself as it was all still fresh in my mind about what happened last night.

"W-who are you? W-where am I?" I almost stammered when I asked him because of my aghast.
