Just like Sebastian planned and ordered, Ricci sent the details of the deal to the police. On the following night, the news that police had got millions worth of drugs in their custody became the headlines.

He gave a blow to both, to the Russians and to the Inland Taipans also. They were trying to invade his territory. There was no way he was going to let them off the hook so easily.

Furthermore, he decided to pay a visit to the leader of Inland Taipan himself.

Robert was pacing around the room. He had paid the advance money to the Russians and now he suffered a great loss.

''You must be feeling great, Robert.'' Sebastian walked inside his mansion, all majestic and ran his long and thick fingers on the metallic antique decorative piece.

''You have done that, right? It was you behind all of it.'' Robert's jaws ticked as he paced closer to him.

Sebastian raised an eyebrow and fidgeted with innocence as he lifted his hand in the air and surrendered, ''Oh no, what to do? I was trying to get Russians but you became an escape goat in the end.'' He looked deadly.

Robert was a middle-aged man and new to this  Mafia world, while Sebastian was born to lead it. ''Before you make desks with my enemies, remember who you are trying to offend.'' He said with gritted teeth and held Robert's throat before slamming him on the wall. It all happened so fast that he could not even defend himself.

''WHERE THE HELL ARE-" He desperately tried calling his men. However, the pressure on his windpipe did not make this task easier for him.

Sebastian growled, "I hope you have had your men insured because their injuries can make you go bankrupt.'' He let go of his throat and the man plopped on the floor as he gasped for air. Sebastian pathetically tsked.

''Next time, keep it on your f**king head whom you are making your enemy.'' Sebastian squatted down and roughly held his chin, ''I will break you for so good that you will regret coming in my way. Do your business quietly, but if you ever dare to involve Russians in this mess, I am gonna chop your head with my bare hands.''

The intensity of his low voice sent a shiver down his spine. There was something mysterious about Sebastian and Robert was well aware... his words weren't empty words. He is capable of doing every little thing which he has uttered from his mouth.

Sebastian left the man gasping and walked out of there. He put the shades on his eyes and signaled Ricci to take him back to the penthouse.

He needed to find a way with these Russians and before those Russians, he needed to get Elysia. He needed to get her back to life.

''Has she started working at the animal clinic?'' He asked. The sunglasses were hiding all of his raging emotions, otherwise Ricci would have jumped out of the running car.

"Not yet. But I have asked the owner of the animal clinic. She will be continuing her work from Monday.'' His most trusted man reported.

It was Saturday. 'One day more.' He thought and his jaw ticked as he thought of a way to get close to her, ''Ricci get me a dog before Monday."

Ricci looked at his boss from the rear-view mirror. "Eyes. On. The. Road." Sebastian could make out of the shock that was visible on his face.

Ricci immediately followed the instructions. However, he knows how much Sebastian hates animals. But he is risking it for her sake.

"Do you understand?" His cold voice resonated once again as Ricci hadn't answered him yet.

"Yes, boss.'' The pitiful man could barely utter two words. It was an extreme job to work for the most dangerous man in the entire country.

Meanwhile, Elysia has started therapy just because Lauren forced her. She would either nod her head at the questions which the therapist would ask or just listen to her quietly.

'I hate to see pity in her eyes for myself.' She thought and clenched her fists really hard.

"I am not here to send pity in anyone's way. My job is to help others make them embrace their scars." It was like she heard her thoughts.

Elysia's eyes snapped from her lap to towards the therapist. Shock was clearly visible in them. The therapist smiled, "Don't need to look so shocked, Elysia. See how easy it is to read you. The pain in your eyes is an indication for everyone to know that you have been through something worse. Maybe my pity for you would be better than seeing the same look in everyone's eyes. Try to get back to life, try to make yourself normal. You have to embrace yourself, only then can others do that."

She made sense and that gave a lot to Elysia to think about and consider.

For the first time in weeks, she came back home all alone. Although it scared her from the core, she was successful in wearing the mask of bravery.

People would glance at her once and their eyes would continue to fall back on her. The scar on her face and neck made everyone imagine, 'what a sight she would be without those scars?'

Lauren was surprised to see her come back home without her help. "Oh my gosh, you did so good, Elysia. We got something to celebrate today." She was brimmed with happiness.

Elysia forced a smile and that night, they ordered pizza and had a little PJ party.

"Shall we have some beer to commemorate today?" Lauren suggested.

"I am sorry, Lau. But can we do it some other day? I don't want to drink right now as I am exhausted." She politely refused with a lie. Even though she was exhausted but not tired enough to deny having a drink. It was all because she did not want to lose consciousness. Those nightmares still haunt her.

''Oh, okay.'' Lauren was a little disappointed but the improvement which Elysia had shown today was worth appreciating. So, she decided not to push her limits.

Still, there was one thing which she hadn't recovered from. Solitude at night... 'what if he comes again at night?' She was immediately frightened.

''Can I sleep with you tonight?'' She asked Lauren.

Lauren nodded her head, ''Sure."

Elysia was really grateful to Lauren. In the darkest time of her life, she is still there for her. When she lost her trust in life, she made her realize that there was still goodness left in this cold world and Elysia clung on to this little hope as she tried to move forward with her life.

Dinner felt like a dream.Ella sat across from Theo in the softly lit restaurant, the glow of candles flickering between them. The world outside had faded away, leaving just the two of them in this quiet, intimate space. Not from this.“Is the food not good?” Theo’s voice was quiet, amused, pulling her out of her thoughts.Ella blinked and realized she had barely touched her plate. “No, it’s good. The professor’s girl?""I heard he left because of her.""Do you think she actually slept with him to pass?"It was relentless. Some people didn’t even bother whispering. A few girls laughed loudly when she walked past, throwing words like desperate and shameless in her direction. Some guys stared

A few days later, Ella received a formal notice from the university. It wasn’t just another warning or a request for a meeting—it was an official disciplinary hearing regarding her "misconduct."Her hands trembled as she held the paper, her breath hitching in her throat. She had been dreading this moment ever since the pictures leaked. But now that it was here, a heavy weight settled in her chest. Ella bit her lip. “What if… what if they actually expel me?” Her voice was barely above a whisper, the fear in it clear.Across campus, Theo read the same notice. His fingers tightened around the letter, his jaw clenching. He knew this was coming, but that didn’t make it any easier to accept. “They’re pushing this too far,” he muttered and his mind raced with possibilities, searching for a way out of this mess. However, he knew that this isn't going to be easy.Soon, Ella found herself sitting beside Theo in the meeting room, her hands clenched together on her lap to stop them from shaking.

Theo had never felt rage like this before. It wasn’t the kind that simmered beneath the surface, waiting to be swallowed down. No, this was a wildfire, burning uncontrollably, consuming every rational thought in his mind. The moment he saw the pictures, something inside him snapped. He wasted no time—he stormed straight to the administration office, demanding that the photos be taken down immediately. The faculty members hesitated at first, exchanging nervous glances, but there was something about Theo’s voice—his sharp, commanding tone—that made them scramble into action. The pictures were removed from the university website within minutes, but that wasn’t enough. It wasn’t just about deleting them. It was about making sure this never happened again. It was about him.Chole.Theo knew. He didn’t need evidence. He didn’t need confirmation. Everything about this situation screamed Chole’s name. His hands clenched into fists as he strode out of the office, his eyes scanning the campus.

Ella walked through the university gates, and immediately, something felt wrong. It wasn’t anything obvious at first, just an odd, heavy sensation settling in her chest. The kind of feeling that made her skin prickle, like when someone was watching her. She tried to shake it off, telling herself she was overthinking things, but as she moved deeper into campus, the feeling grew stronger. Then she noticed the looks.People weren’t just glancing at her in passing; they were staring. Some pretended to be busy on their phones but would sneak quick glances in her direction. Others didn’t bother to hide it at all. Their eyes followed her as she walked, whispers trailing behind her like shadows. A few students exchanged smirks, nudging each other as if they were all in on some kind of secret.Ella’s heart pounded as she tightened her grip on her bag. She didn’t understand—why was everyone looking at her like that? What was going on? She tried to keep her head down, but the weight of their eye

Ella walked through the university hallways with her head down, gripping the straps of her bag tightly. She had barely slept the night before. Every time she closed her eyes, she could feel Chole’s hands on her, his voice echoing in her ears. It made her skin crawl. But she wasn’t going to let it show. She had made a promise to herself—she wouldn’t let what happened control her.So she did what she had to. She pulled on a thick black turtleneck, hoping it would hide the bruise on her neck. She dabbed on some makeup just in case. If she acted normal, no one would notice. At least, that was the plan. She took a deep breath before stepping into Theo’s lecture hall. The room was already half-full, students chatting and flipping through notes. She quickly found a seat in the back, hoping to blend in.Theo entered the room shortly after, looking as composed as always. But when his eyes flickered over the students and landed on her, something in his gaze softened for a brief second before he
