All Chapters of A Series of Surrenders: Chapter 1 - Chapter 10

Elysia laid in the bed deprived of any signs of life in her. Only the slight rise and fall of her chest was the evidence that she was living although she was dead. Her phone was ringing continuously but she had no strength left to get up and see who was calling her. Just when the scary night flashed through her mind, she shrunk and hugged her legs. The tears were leaving the corners of her eyes. The phone stopped ringing and it hadn't been 10 minutes yet when the knock on her door grabbed her attention. Her eyes frightened instantly. She covered herself with a blanket and sat on the corner of the bed. It was a futile attempt to show that no one was there. Her mental health was shattered badly. One night had changed everything in her. The banging on the door got louder. ''No one is here. I AM NOT HERE.'' She roared and covered her ears with her palms. Those banging sounds were hammering nails in her head. ''No one is here.'' She continued to say and cried. Her voice was dying

Sebastian laid on his bed as he remembered the night a month ago.Month ago: The sky was dark beyond the point of darkness. The moon and no stars were shining as the clouds had taken over them. Suddenly, it started thundering. Elysia was frightened by the sound of it. She closed the door of the veterinary clinic where she works and started to walk fast towards her home before the sky would start to pour out. However, unfortunately, she had just reached the alley where it started to rain. ''Oh gosh, not now.'' Elysia groaned as she didn't have an umbrella and rushed. The coldness of the night was making her shiver. She ran down the streets. Her apartment wasn't far from the vet clinic. So, she usually goes there by foot. In the middle of the thunder, a voice caused her feet to stop. ''Is anyone there?'' She asked nervously. A whimper could be heard. ''Excuse me?'' She asked again and entered the street. A little streetlight was lighting the alley but it wasn't bright enough. Elysi

Just like Sebastian planned and ordered, Ricci sent the details of the deal to the police. On the following night, the news that police had got millions worth of drugs in their custody became the headlines. He gave a blow to both, to the Russians and to the Inland Taipans also. They were trying to invade his territory. There was no way he was going to let them off the hook so easily.Furthermore, he decided to pay a visit to the leader of Inland Taipan himself.Robert was pacing around the room. He had paid the advance money to the Russians and now he suffered a great loss.''You must be feeling great, Robert.'' Sebastian walked inside his mansion, all majestic and ran his long and thick fingers on the metallic antique decorative piece.''You have done that, right? It was you behind all of it.'' Robert's jaws ticked as he paced closer to him.Sebastian raised an eyebrow and fidgeted with innocence as he lifted his hand in the air and surrendered, ''Oh no, what to do? I was trying to g

Ever since that day, Lauren could not take the risk of letting Elysia go home alone. Before Elysia's working hours could end, she would go to her clinic and wait until she wrapped up the day and then they would walk home together. "Lauren, something happened at the clinic today.'' Elysia suddenly broke the silence. Lauren's heart thumped badly against her chest. ''What?'' She hid the nervousness as she asked. ''There is a man. I saved his life almost 2 months back.'' She started. Actually, she did not tell her friends about Sebastian before because she did not have the chance. "He came to the clinic today and he asked me out for dinner. He wants to treat me as compensation." This is all she could make out of his offer. ''Really?" Lauren raised an eyebrow. She was sure that Elysia had refused his offer. She is currently going through trauma. She can't even make eye contact with anyone. Let alone going on a date. "What did you tell him?" She exhaled loudly in the air, "I said, yes.

They ate dinner in complete silence. Other than the sound of their cutlery, there was nothing that collided with their sense of hearing. Elysia could not get the fact out of her head that she was being affected by his astonishing presence. But she treated this dinner as a friendly meal. 'You are not allowed to have feelings for anyone.' She scolded herself and did not dare to look at him. In a split second, the huge glass window shattered. Like, it is a wall of sand and it floats away as the wave hits it. "F**k." Sebastian cursed under his breath and he immediately pulled Elysia towards himself. Without wasting a second, he hid her under the table. Elysia does not know what happened or what is happening.... all she knows is.... this doesn't feel real. She doesn't feel like a part of it. It was surreal. When Sebastian pulled a gun and started shooting, Elysia did not have the slightest idea. Her head was spinning, the vision was getting blurry and she swang in his arms and her eyes
