CHAPTER 22: ALLIES AND ENEMIES ALIKE
“My mom cooked and she cooked extra for you. Let’s go eat this outside.” Kurt lifted the paper bag he’s holding.
“Please say thank you for me.” Chris smiled. Kurt’s mother is a great cook and she would always include Chris whenever she got the time to cook for Kurt and his little brother.
“Sure.” They went outside of the highschool building and decided to eat in one of the outdoor tables.
“Oh!” Kurt suddenly exclaimed.
“What is it?” Chris asked in worry.
Kurt smiled and scratched his nape, “I forgot to pack my water jug. I’ll just go buy in the cafeteria, you go eat first.” Kurt dashed his way towards the cafeteria. Chris started eating when Damien materialized behind him. The demon touched him in the nape which startled Chris. Damien laughed as Chris coughed because he choked on his food.

Chris felt his knees giving out. Blood pools on the ground and Paul’s dead body is at the middle. Chris woke up early to clean the house. He first targeted the living room which is already garnering dust from being unused. He looked around and realized that he’s always been in his room these days. Whenever he would go out he would always head straight out of the house and whenever he comes back he would go straight to his room. It became his routine lately. Linus yawned beside Joaqin, the demon found all of Joaqin’s recent cases as boring and too simple. “Isn’t there a more exciting case to work on? Chris sighed as he checks his messages. Kurt didn’t reply at all and it’s bugging him. He messaged him again even though they will see each other in school. “Hey, is there something wrong?” he typed but immediately thought that it was too weird. “Kurt, how are you? Is everything alright?” He’s about to delete the message again but a hand appeared and hit the send button.
