Chapter 8/kids

Waking up exactly before sunrise with the gorgeous city view from a luxurious apartment is always pleasant.

Well, not if you haven't slept at all!

Clearing her kitchen counter and putting the things that she got there into places where they should be, Sabrina yawned, feeling drained from all the work she's been doing since last night.

Who knew that having multiple clients at the same time have its pros and cons too.

Apparently, since the Leatherwood tech group, a tech company in Denver, signed a contract with the Madison LLC through her, Sabrina experienced stress like she had never experienced before.

Going in and out of the city to get small, but golden pieces of information can be exhausting and let's not even mention the fact that she had five other clients to assist too.

Her life seemed like it's just about work at the moment.

“God, I literally look like a twenty-six years old version of Cruella right now,” Sabrina spoke to herself looking in a mirror touching the dark circles under her eyes. “Oh well, screw Cruella because I'm going to sleep now.” She added, smiling about the idea of sleeping.

Opening her bedroom door, Sabrina plopped down on the bed pulling the bed covers over her petite form, not even bothering to change into something comfortable before closing her eyes.

Sleep seemed like the most important thing in the world for her right now, and her only goal at the moment is to get it.

But of course, someone just to take that away from her.

“Sabrina!” A male voice with an accent called out.

Sabrina groaned out of annoyance once she heard that voice.

It's not just the fact that she was disturbed that is annoying, it was also the fact that an annoying person owned that voice, and she's pretty sure that he's here to annoy her.

“What do you want?!” Sabrina hollered from her bedroom loud enough for the person outside to hear.

“Ah, there you are.” Said Ivan opening her bedroom door leaning on its frame looking at her laying under the covers.

“How the heaven did you get in here?” Sabrina mumbled, still not getting out of the covers.

Ivan smiled at that.

Sabrina acting like this totally reminded him of someone he adored.

“Aria gave me your key.” He replied, playing with the key that the brunette gave him.

Hearing the mention of her cousin's name, Sabrina instantly got out of the thick covers.

“Aria?” Asked Sabrina sitting down rubbing her tired eyes.

“Yeah,” He replied. “We're following the lead that the man who you sliced the skin of gave, everybody's in the van waiting for you, so get your lazy ass up because we're leaving.” He added, placing both of the hands on his waist.

“Do I really have to come?” She asked pouting, still wanting that sleep that she's been craving for since last night.

Ivan sighed.

“Yes you do,” He said, shifting a little from his previous position. “Now get up.” He added demandingly.

Sabrina groaned.

“But I haven't slept since last night.” She complained, dropping her body flat on the bed.

Sabrina cared a lot about her job, and the satisfaction of her clients is one of her top priorities.

She's going to do everything to do her job accordingly and keep the promises that she made.

But of course, she had to make sure she's not dying once in a while either.

“You can sleep in the Van,” Suggested Ivan, “you can sleep on my lap.” He added.

“I'd rather die of exhaustion.” Sabrina said staring at the ceiling not even bothering to move from her previous position.

“Just get up and meet us downstairs,” Said Ivan. “You have 15 minutes, that's all.” He added, tossing her a towel before leaving.

As much as Sabrina still wanted to sleep, she knew that she can't anymore.

Not under Ivan's watch.

Having no other choice, Sabrina got up with a groan and took the towel that Ivan tossed her before taking a shower.

Once she was done getting ready, she locked her apartment door before going downstairs, just like what the Russian guy instructed.

Shifting her eyes on the parking lot, her eyes landed on a white van.

With her white sneakers, she ran towards the van and knocked on the window, which was instantly opened by Aria.

“And there she is,” Said Aria. “Come on couz get in.” She added before returning to her sit, which was next to Everett.

Sabrina smiled at that.

Aria and Everett seemed to be really close, she's going to have to talk about that with Aria later.

It seemed like All of them are going into this little operation, there's Shawn, Scott, Ivan, Igor, Aria, and Everett.

Sabrina roamed her eyes in the Van looking for a good seat to sit at, of course Scott noticed her, so he spoke.

“You can sit here next to the window, just like what you always preferred.” Suggested Scott with a smile which flexed his dimples.

Scott knew that Sabrina always preferred the window seat, when they were still together he would always take her on road trips, and she would always fight for the window seat.

Sabrina rolled her eyes at that.

She would rather walk to their destination than to sit next to him.

Instead of taking Scott's offer, Sabrina got an idea to sit next to Igor's side and snuggle on him to make Scott jealous.

Sabrina isn't just using Igor of course, she actually liked the guy, but it's a bit complicated.

Making Scott jealous is just a bonus.

“Hey Igor, can I sit next to you?” Asked Sabrina using her usual girly voice, knowing that Igor can't resist that.

“Yeah sure, do you want the seat next to the window?” He asked, being the gentleman that he is.

“If you don't mind.” Said Sabrina.

“Not at all, dear.” He replied with a smile.

Sabrina got in the van and sat next to Igor before snuggling into his side.

As surprised as he is, Igor just choose to let the blonde pixie snuggle into him.

Not that he minded, anyway!

Watching Sabrina snuggle to Igor's side was quite a bummer to Shawn, though he doesn't really know why.

It's not like they were even a thing.

Shaking that thought aside, Shawn told Ivan to drive away.

“Do you want to borrow my hoodie? It's quite comfy.” Offered Igor.

“No, thanks, you're comfy enough.” Replied Sabrina burying her face into Igor's chest, closing her eyes.

“Are you sure?” He asked again.

“Mmm.” Hummed, Sabrina opening one of her eyes a little just to see Shawn looking at her and Igor with a look that she can't really define.

She thinks that she had an idea of what that look is, but she can't also confirm it at the same time.

From the looks of it, considering the fact that she watches too much rom-com and love triangle movies on N*****x, it seemed something like jealousy?

But why the heaven would he even be jealous?

Well, there's only one way to find out.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Waking up from her beauty sleep, Sabrina got up and went into the balcony of Shawn's Beverly Hills kind-of style mansion.

Taking a deep breath, She smiled at her plan for the evening in connect to the case while admiring the view.

If they only knew what she had stored for the night.

They're probably going to get used to her crazy antics from now.

“Sab!” Aria called out.

“In the balcony!” Sabrina shouted back.

As soon as she heard that, she walked towards where the voice was coming from.

“Oh, what are you doing here?” The younger girl asked, walking towards her cousin who's standing in the balcony only wearing a robe.

“Nothing, just preparing myself for what I had planned tonight.” Said Sabrina, turning to her cousin with a smirk.

With the idea of having Perfectly fine men around, when Aria heard that sentence from her cousin, she instantly made a disgusted face with the disgusting thought on her mind on what her cousin was pointing out.

“You better not bang anyone, Sabrina.” Aria said warningly looking at her cousin with a glare.

“Geez Aria, it's about business.” Sabrina replied exactly, knowing what the brunette was thinking.

This certainly isn't new to them, to be honest.

“Oh,” Said the younger girl, looking down all embarrassed. “What is it, then?” She added, playing with the hem of Everett's shirt that she stole earlier.

Sabrina's Aria's safe place and Aria's Sabrina's safe place, so they can basically tell each other everything.

And of course, that's exactly what she did.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“Now I'm starting to be bothered by this.” Said Everett, looking at the window of the Car anxiously.

They're currently outside the five-star restaurant that the guy who Sabrina cut the skin of told them, where the people of Shawn's rivals meet and talk about their vicious plans in destroying the Turner Organization.

Scott had this plan to spy on them using a hearing device, but Sabrina had a different one.

Not wanting to argue with the insane nymph, knowing that it's just going to be pointless, they just chose to go with her plan.

And now here they are.

Sabrina with a brown wig and green contact lenses that she got earlier, Igor in the suit that Shawn made him borrow, and Everett and Aria looking like sixth graders.

Their plan was to look like a family about to have a dinner date then spy on their target, and boy don't they look like one.

“Relax it's going to be fine,” Said Aria trying to comfort the boy. “We literally look like real siblings.” She added slightly massaging the boy's shoulder, which got the anxious expression on his face turn into a frown.

Siblings? okay, that hurt.

That's really something he doesn't want to hear right now.

“Yeah, you're probably right.” He said, replacing the frown on his face with a fake smile.

Though, that didn't convince Aria at all.

She's going to have a word with him about that later.

“Well, let's get going, kids.” Said Igor, trying to sound like one of those dads getting their kiddos ready for something.

And At that moment, they all knew that they're screwed.

“And we're doomed.” Said Aria.

Anxious as they were, Igor, Sabrina, Aria, and Everett went into the restaurant together looking like a real family about to have a dinner date, as soon as they entered the structure a couple from across the room were already staring.

Though, it wasn't really a suspicious stare that'd get them uncomfortable or something relevant to that.

Ironically, it seemed something like adoration.

They sat two booths away from the three guys wearing casual suits who Ivan told them that are their target.

Following their plan, as soon as they sat in and made their orders, Everett went to the bathroom to drop a hearing device while passing through the men on his way.

Once he was gone, it was all action.

“So, how's school, sweetie?” Igor asked Aria, trying to sound like a father.

And yeah, he was terrible.

“Fine I guess.” The brunette replied, shifting on her seat awkwardly.

Who can blame her, though? She never had this kind of conversation with her real father.

Every time they get together, it was all about fights and arguments.

Seeing the funny discomfort of her cousin, Sabrina got an idea.

Why not have a little fun with it, eh?

“Let daddy fix your hair baby,” Said Sabrina sounding like a mother, “it's getting all over your face.” She added, obviously trying to make the matters worse for the younger girl.

Sensing Sabrina's intentions, Igor made a move too.

“Yeah sweetie, let me fix your hair,” Said Igor looking at the brunette who looked like she's ten. “Do you have a hairbrush and a scrunchy love?” He added, trying to seem like a real husband.

“Yes,” Replied Sabrina, “Actually I have one here.” She added getting a hairbrush and a scrunchy out of her bag before giving it to Igor while shooting him a mischievous wink.

“Come on munch, let's get this out of your gorgeous face.” Said Igor brushing Aria's hair before doing it into a little ponytail as Aria just sat there totally bummed with her arms folded on her chest looking at her bitch of a cousin with a glare, knowing that she's the reason why she's stuck in this situation.

After a few minutes of putting Aria in hell, Everett finally came back.

Questioning the annoyed face and the messy ponytail of the brunette, Everett sat beside Sabrina.

“It's confirmed, they really were talking about the fall of the Turner organization,” whispered Everett. “Shawn and Scott are already listening to them with an earpiece connected to the hearing device I placed under their table.” He added.

“Yeah nice job.” Said Sabrina complementing the boy's job.

“What's up with her, though?” Everett asked, looking at Aria.

“Nothing,” Replied Sabrina. “You're next.

Though.” She whispered with a mischievous grin and At that moment, Everett knew that he was dead.

That grin never meant something good.

Well, least for them.

“No please.” begged Everett, knowing that whatever it is that Sabrina was planning isn't good.

Unfortunately for him, Sabrina Clarke wanted her fun.

“Hey Hun have you bought that shampoo for Tommy's bubble bath?” Asked Sabrina playing with Everett's hair, looking at Igor.

It was loud enough so some people around them probably heard that, the kids from the Booth next to them started laughing.

“Yes actually,” Said Igor, going with Sabrina's plan. “It's purple though.” He added, and at this point Aria was quietly laughing too.

Alas! That laugh eventually faded.

“I got Ava the rubber duckies that she wants too.” Said Sabrina, which instantly change the younger girl's expression.

“Daddy's gonna set up the bathtub when we get home.” Said Igor finger-combing Aria's hair.

After a few minutes of embarrassing Aria and Everett, their orders finally arrived, and so their fun stopped for a bit.

Having dinner here wasn't really a part of the plan, but they were all indeed hungry, Scott and Shawn would just have to eat later, though.

Eating their dinner, They all listened to what the guys two booths away from them were saying.

As the night goes by, everything went well, and they got all the things that they were looking for.

Ready to leave, Igor paid the bill, and they all walked towards the door where they entered earlier without their rivals noticing.

Though, once they were near the door, the couple from earlier stopped them.

All sort of thoughts that this couple was with the men that they were spying on suddenly came running into Sabrina's mind.

But all of those thoughts eventually went away when the woman spoke.

“Hello,” Said the woman. “Your kids are adorable.” She added, looking at Aria and Everett.

Everett and Aria really looked like actual kids.

Just like Sabrina, Aria was also a Shortstack and her face also looked a lot younger than her real age.

It's not a surprise that a lot of people always assume that she's a kid.

“Come on love, you're creeping the kids.” Said the guy in a British accent, who Sabrina assumed to be the woman's husband.

Not done with her fun yet, Sabrina got an idea again.

“Don't be rude, kids, say hi.” Said Sabrina in a fake British accent, mocking the man.

“Hi.” Said Aria and Everett, not interested at all.

“Awe hello, how old are you sweetie?” The woman asked Aria while pinching her cheek.

At this moment Aria just wanted to go there and rip her cousin's throat out, but she knew that she can't.

Not now.

“Uhmm I'm eleven.” Aria said awkwardly, wanting to slap the woman's hand away from her face.

“How about you, Hun?” The woman asked Everett.

“Thirteen.” He replied, looking down.

“He- he's shy.” Said Igor making an excuse for Everett's action.

“He is.” Agreed Sabrina.

“Isn't that adorable.” Said the woman in awe.

Feeling like they've had enough, Sabrina spoke.

“Well, we have to get going now.” Said Sabrina, intertwining her hand with Igor.

“Yeah, you guys have a great evening.” Said the couple.

“Yeah you too!” Said Igor and Sabrina, walking towards the door.

Once they were outside, Aria instantly grabbed her cousin's arms before dragging her towards their car.

Igor and Everett were left far behind, but they exactly knew why was Aria dragging Sabrina.

The girl's does indeed have a great relationship but just like other relationships, they weren't perfect too.

One second they're cuddling and the next minute they're taking out a kitchen knife to murder each other.

“Am I the only one worried about this?” Asked Everett walking swiftly trying to catch up with the Clarkes scared of what they might do to each other.

“No son,” Replied Igor attempting to catch up with Everett's pace slightly laughing.

“Now come on before they kill each other.”
