In order to find something, you need to truly look, look into places where you least expect it to be.
Sometimes, unexpected situations bring you closer to what you want than anything else.
Sometimes you find the things you have lost in places you never even thought about.

Stealing is bad.
Like really bad
It’s a crime.
Something you shouldn’t do because it can land you in trouble.
Trouble with the police? Yes. But other than that, it can land you in trouble with a crazy psycho dude who seems like he belongs to the underworld.
Not just some random dude from the mafia but some high official at that.
I gulped as I had my hands tied behind my back and a muscular huge black man was holding me down while another man with jet black hair, blue eyes, with a fairly good height, and fair skin was looking at me while he sat on the chair in front of me.
“Stealing are we?” He smiled at me and flashed his perfect white teeth at me, “From me?” He smirked, “Do you have any idea who I am?” His way of asking the question felt like it was filled with sarcasm.
I sighed internally, trying to calm myself, “If I knew I probably wouldn’t have done it.” I gave him the most awkward smile I could conjure, “ So nope. You do look shady though.” I mean look at his suit, his shoes, his watch. Everything screams rich and yet he got me kidnapped because I stole a few bucks from him.
Super shady.
Well, after stealing I was still in the middle of running away when his men caught me so I didn’t even get the chance to use the money and he didn’t especially come for me and it was more like a natural response of his men but still why interrogate me like this? I was even dragged all the way to a strange warehouse. They could have just beaten me up and left me somewhere but no, they brought me here because this man ordered them to.
What the hell does he want?
“Never seen me anywhere?” He threw out his hands in the air in a questioning gesture.
I pretended to think about it, “Nope.” I tried to stay strong but no doubt it was a scary situation, “Never.”
“Hmmm.” He didn’t seem pleased with my answer. He stood up from his chair and walked towards me , “Ever heard of this name?” He crouched down right in front of me, “Valek Vincenzo.”
Valek? Vincenzo?
The name did ring a bell but what did it matter?
“What are you going to do to me?”
“Let’s see, there are quite many options.” He traced my hairline with his fingers and as his hand arrived at the right side of my face he threw my hair back which allowed him to see my eyes clearly. Valek took a moment to look at my mismatched eyes that were of light brown and grey shades respectively, “I can kill you right now.” He shook his head as if he didn’t quite like the idea, “I could, sell you. You have a pretty face, you’ll sell at a high price.” He smirked, “Or.” He clicked his tongue. He was still thinking when the door of the warehouse started banging softly.
It seemed as if a small animal was banging on it, there wasn’t much strength in it.
That’s when we all heard something.
“Daddy?” It was a child’s voice. One that left me confused but more than me, someone else was more shocked. I saw Valek’s mood shift suddenly. He was surprised at first then turned angry.
“Wasn’t he being taken care of?” Valek glared at his men behind me.
“H-he was!” One of them answered.
“Then why is he here?” I could sense the anger in his calm voice.
“...” No one answered him and I could feel the tension in the air. Surely, everyone was terrified of him.
To make things even better the door next to the warehouse shutter opened and a three- maybe four year old child was seen on the other side standing on a small stool while tip toeing, his hands still on the door knob while he peeked inside.
“Daddy?” He looked at Valek.
Oh! He’s the dad of such an adorable child.
Valek gritted his teeth and gave his men another glare. This one felt even more fierce than the one before and while I was thinking something bad might happen, the man on top of me released me and stepped back.
The child came running in and I sat up in surprise. Was I released because that’s what Valek’s glare meant? Did he not want any violence in front of his kid?
Wow
How noble of him… I thought sarcastically
The kid who was running towards Valek suddenly, out of nowhere, like literally, absolutely out of the blue turned his direction and crashed into me.
“Mama!” He hugged me. Everyone looked at me while I sat there with my eyes popping out of my skull in confusion, “Mama,” He looked up at me, “I missed you.”
Say what?!!
>> Hazel“Emilio” Valek spoke to his son in a calm yet strong voice, “She is not your mother.” Emilio turned his head towards his father while still hugging me and Valek extended his hand towards him, “Come here.” There wasn’t any softness in his voice even though he was talking to a child and his own son at that.“No!” Emilio buried his face in my stomach, “You shaid mommy went far way, she’s bwack now!” I could feel his grip on my shirt get tighter.“Emilio.” Valek grabbed his shirt from the back and pulled him off of me, “Your mommy is d-”“Boss!!” Another abrupt voice of a person cut Valek’s words short and made us all turn to the entrance of the warehouse. A man wearing a black dress shirt and pants was panting by the door. His hair was a bit disheveled and he had a thin physique but the moment he saw Emilio and Valek he calmed down and adjusted his slightly crooked glasses and hair.“Ren.” Valek glared at him, “I see you’re neglecting your duties.”“I’m really sorry boss.” He lo
>>HazelI looked at Valek in bewilderment as he stood up again and looked down at me.“You want me to become a mother for your son?” He nodded and I scoffed, “You want me to marry you?” I looked at him in disgustHe smirked, “What a ridiculous idea you got from my words. I would never marry you.” He narrowed his eyes, “Not ‘someone’ like you.”Although I would never want that kind of thing either, his words offended me greatly.“I don’t like you, not one bit,” I replied.“Likewise, as if I would find a ‘petty thief' any attractive.” We both glared at each other for a while but Valek was very impatient, “You have five seconds to decide.” He said, “If not,” He looked at the bulky man behind me, “Kill her.”My eyes grew wide and my heart started to beat like crazy when the bulky black man stepped closer to me. “One,” Valek started counting without any delay, “Two,” From the corner of my eyes I saw the bulky man take out his gun, “Three,” He placed the gun at the back of my head, “Four.”
>> HazelI ran like crazy through the forest since at the moment the only thing on my mind was to lose the men who were tailing me. For that purpose, I deliberately took a lot of turns and ran into thicker parts of the forest where there were a lot of bushes and plants to cover me.I purposely chose the path which didn’t allow a proper view of the way ahead and had many things to block the view of a person.I ignored everything and focused only on escaping but still running barefooted was not a good idea. I was getting scratches all over my feet from all sorts of things on the ground and the pain was tingling the rest of my body. After a while of simply running like crazy, I glanced back and saw no sign of anyone behind me, that’s when I slowed down. The adrenaline running through my veins started calming down as well and exhaustion began to take over.As I shifted from running to jogging to walking I felt the heat leave my body in heavy puffs while sweat started dripping down my skin
>>HazelI opened my eyes and felt how heavy my head was. It felt like there was a lot of pressure on it and because of that, it took me a few seconds to realize where I was.I shook my head and tried to stabilize it even though it felt like my head was going to drop down on the floor due to how weighty it was.I then tried to move but couldn’t.What? My hands were stuck somewhere so I shot my head above and noticed them shackled to the bedframe of the bed I was sitting on.“You’re awake?” I heard someone say from the side and I turned my head towards him. It was a doctor, or well, he did seem like a doctor with his white doctor's coat, neatly styled black hair that matched his black eyes along with the syringe he was holding in his hand.Syringe? My gaze followed to the place where he was removing his hands from.An IV drip?It was attached to the back of my hand. What!? Why?!!“Of course she’s awake.” Another voice disrupted my thoughts and made me turn my head towards the owner of t
>>HazelI woke up with a terrified gasp and immediately sat up while a shiver went down my spine.Drops of sweat rolled down my neck and forehead as I breathed heavily. My eyes frantically scanned the room which was now empty.Hesitantly, I turned my head and looked around. The room was empty, there was no one there but me.I took a sigh of relief and calmed down a bit.I let out a soft breath and looked down at the back of my arms that were resting on my thighs.Wait- A sudden realization came to me as I stared at them.I’m free?!I shot my head back at the bed’s headboard where I was previously tied with a chain but now, there was nothing there.Just the plain old frame back.Strange…I looked at my arms and hands again, the IV drip was no longer there either. I turned my head to the side but didn’t see any IV stand either. What the hell?I turned my head straight again and noticed something different.Bandages?I blinked a few times to make sure that what I was seeing was right.
>> HazelI nervously looked at the handle as it began to turn slowly but then, all of a sudden the handle got back to its position.Huh?It felt like someone’s hand may have slipped.I frowned as I sat in my position. That’s when the handle started turning again but once again it shot back up.What in the-?Then I heard a jump from the other side, the sound of a ‘hup’ and the handle going down properly for once.I kept looking as the door began to open slowly while a kid was attached to it.The scene was cute and funny at the same time and it made me relax and smile a bit.As the door rotated inwards, Emilio turned his head towards me and let go of the handle he was hanging on to, neatly and nicely he landed on the floor since there wasn’t even much of a gap to begin with and smiled brightly. “Mama!” He exclaimed brightly and came running to me in his adorable Winnie the Pooh onesie, “Is your booboo okay now?” He came and stood in front of me, staring at me with his big round mismatc
>>HazelWhat the hell kid!?? Why would you ask something like that??I screamed internally as I looked at Emilio who was looking at his father with sparkling eyes.I sighed.Well, who cares? Kids say stupid stuff. It’s not like Valek is going to really kiss me or even try at that.I turned my head to look at him.He knows I hate him and he probably hates me-“Of course I will kiss mommy.” Valek replied and looked at me.What? He passed me a smirk and then walked over to me while I panicked. What? What? What?? What the hell? What is he planning??Valek crossed the short distance and stood in front of me, his mischievous smile still plastered on his face, “Well then,” He moved his face closer to mine but I stepped back while glaring at him. “Don’t you dare.” I whispered to him and he let out a short snicker. “This is for Emilio.” He said and immediately after he grabbed my waist from behind and gave me a quick peck on the lips.He did it so fast I couldn’t even push him away. He kisse
>>Hazel A long sad sigh escaped my mouth as I stared at the ceiling of my room blankly. I was given a room near Emilio’s and I came back after putting the boy to sleep but couldn’t find any sleep myself. The room was perfect,, it was dark and the bed was soft too, just how I liked it but the environment was very different. The atmosphere was strange and even though I was mentally exhausted and tired I couldn’t fall asleep. I wanted to escape in the land of the unconscious very bad and I was getting angry at the fact that I couldn’t. So, I made a decision and sat up. Okay! I told myself Let’s do this. I stood up and walked out of the room to the first floor. The mansion was quiet, the lights had been dimmed so low I had to let my eyes adjust first before I started walking in the corridor. As I walked I thought about how strange it felt. It was such a nice and big place, during the day one wouldn’t feel anything weird because of the workers but at night, suddenly everything is
