Chapter Ten

KATHY

I was awakened by the sudden from outside the shack I laid to rest all through the night.

I wasn’t so sure what was causing it exactly but I knew so well that I was going to be having a long day today.

I pulled myself up from the bed rubbing my eyes, as I stretched my whole body from left to right of the bed.

And just as I did, a loud noise was made right outside by the door.

What’s happening?… I asked myself as I got off the bed walking all the way to the door.

“Where is she?” I heard a voice say from the door.

“She probably would be awake from all the noise by now,” Another voice said mockingly.

I walked gently towards the door as I fidgeted with the sleeves of my dress wondering what exactly was waiting for me right outside the door.

Just as I got close to the door, the door flung open causing me to fall to the ground as I had my hand to my face shielding my face from the sun peeking into the room.
