Selena's POV

I glanced over and realized that Elijah had somehow ended up next to Rain. One of the enforcers was bleeding from a cut in his hand and the second enforcer was cleaning up a mysterious coffee stain off his shirt. Elijah sent me a wide grin, as he was clearly restraining Rain with his other hand.

In short?

Rain had probably lost his shit because I’d accepted Brian’s offer to escort me home. And the other three wolves had done whatever was necessary to stop a bloodbath...

I rolled my eyes. He had a mate for goddess sake! He’d picked her over me. He had no goddess damn right to be angry at me for moving on with my life.

I still wasn’t sure why I was so angry about that. It was natural for wolves to pick their mate over anything and anyone else. I’d been a fool for deluding myself into believing his words and promises when I knew he’d already met his mate. Once they wer

  • Surrogate to the Blood Alpha   Chapter 132: Ready for a New Story?

Victor’s POVThe phone rang, lighting up a familiar number I couldn’t forget even if I wanted to. Annoyed, I sure as fuck hoped he wasn’t calling to ask for another favor. I didn’t give them out for free to just anyone, but this guy? Well, he was a rare exceptionStill, I didn’t hesitate to press the green button…“Rain,” I said bluntly, signaling for my beta to leave the office. Not that he needed one. The second anyone heard that name, they knew not to ask questions and never to pry.Not if they valued their life anyway...“Victor,” the Alpha King replied, his tone a little more lively than it used to be. Guess that’s what happens to a man when you have a mate blowing life back into your stone-cold heart. And while I’d always believed that it would never happen to a stone-cold killer like the Rain Blood, I was now proven wrong. So maybe it could h

  • Surrogate to the Blood Alpha   Chapter 131: The Witch in the Dungeon

Selena’s POVSean found his mate?!And this was a problem?WHY?!Rain kept a firm grasp on my hand as he led me through the halls and into the dungeon – of all places! I was beginning to think that Joey’s “it’s bad” was just his way of saying “everything is fucked and we should run for the hills”…When we entered the main floor, there was chaos. Sean was being held back by four enforcers, his face bloody and bruised as he snarled and cursed everyone in the room. Joey was getting in someone’s face, physically blocking him from hitting his friend. And at the center of it all was a dirty, hog-tied girl, blindfolded and gagged like some kind of---Animal!“Oh my goddess!” I exclaimed and ran to her, pushing the wolves aside, and helped the poor thing up to sit. “Are you OK? Who did this to you?”“LU

  • Surrogate to the Blood Alpha   Chapter 130: New Name - New Me!

Rain’s POVMy mate was a fucking vixen!I knew I should have resisted her. She’d given birth less than a week ago, and already she wanted to be on her knees before me. It was too soon and she wasn’t ready…But damn! The sight of her at my feet, her eyes glassy with need and her hot breath fanning my cock--- well, there was only so much self-control even a rogue king possessed…So I let her suck me off…I loved and hated it! Feeling guilty that I was the only one getting pleasure, when I, more than anything, wanted her to feel beautiful, wanted, and desired. So I poured all the pleasure she was giving me down the mate-bond--- and fucking magic happened! Her pleasure amplified my own, until it blinded me. My body shook with raw ecstasy. And when her need overtook her, she needed me to take control…And fuck me, but that just abo

  • Surrogate to the Blood Alpha   Chapter 129: Releasing some Stress

WARNING: Sexual contentSelena’s POVI was free!Sure, I’d found myself accepting that being the daughter of the most hated man in the werewolf kingdom was just my cross to bear. But now – after finding my mother’s letter and knowing the truth – I was free!I only needed a moment alone with the letter to let everything sink in before I felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders. I didn’t understand why my mother would keep this from me. To let me think that my father hated me for no other reason than being human.Well, he wasn’t my father…And whatever her reasons, I found that I didn’t care! As a child, I’d felt a certain loyalty towards her, a blind belief that she’d always protect me. Now, that illusion had shattered. If it were guilt for cheating, isolation, or a desperate attempt to justify her own actions, I would never

  • Surrogate to the Blood Alpha   Chapter 128: The Worth of a Queen

Rain’s POV“My King?”Sighing, I lifted my head, glaring at the wolf who’d just stepped forward. My wolf wanted to kill him – no surprise there. The beast was getting more and more murderous with every passing day that I stayed, but these freaking negotiations kept dragging out until eternity.Maybe I should just let him kill every single one of them, and then I could go back to--- oh… no, that wasn’t viable in the long run. Then people would just revolt against me, and that would put Selena and Azul in danger and---AH!To think I once actually looked forward to being king…“Yes?” I growled, my voice a little rougher than I intended. The tension in the room was currently below freezing. Deckland had returned from the Dark Moon pack after finding it so entwined in dark magic that it physically made them sick. But finding an expert on black magic was no walk in the park, and thanks to my predecessor, witches weren’t all that trusting of werewolves.Yey – as my mate would say…Additional

  • Surrogate to the Blood Alpha   Chapter 127: A Letter from Mom

Selena's POVNo. Way!There had to be some mix-up or--- or something! Because my one sin – the one thing that had hung like a sword over my neck my entire life – was the fact that I was Alistar Throme’s daughter! And if that wasn’t true then---“What?” I exclaimed, but my voice was meek and barely above a whisper. I tried to find something else to say but--- I just didn’t have words. I struggled to make sense of it all but---There was none…My mother couldn’t have lied to me about something like this. She couldn’t have just sat there, watching her mate reject me over and over again, and still let me believe that I was his daughter. Let me believe that the man who had gone out of his way to make me feel little, unloved, and broken was---My mother wouldn’t do that to me!Joey reached out for the document that Stella he
