I was trying to get more work done when Luke stood behind me and started watching what I was doing. I wanted to try to get totally caught up today because I wanted to reduce the amount of paperwork that would be waiting for me when we get home from our trip. Good grief! The last two days have been a blur of activity. We spent all day yesterday shopping for the trip, then emptying the refrigerator. I did not want to come home to fuzzy stuff in my fridge. That’s just nasty. Luke laughed at my attitude toward it but understood when I explained my reasoning. By the time I finished explaining, he was helping me. When we got back on the road I asked, “What pack are we staying with?” Luke replied, “We are heading to a pack in the swamplands called The Nightfall Pack. I added, “I would like to spend this afternoon in the human town to see what we could do to improve the relationship. There may be a business that you can start that would help the city. We should keep a close eye on the businesses as we look. After my hair was done, I put on a little eyeliner and a natural lip gloss, then walked to the closet and grabbed my light blue sundress and my white sandals. I put them on then walked out of the closet. My mate was just tucking his white button up shirt into his dark black jeans. He gasped when he looked up and saw me, “You’re so beautiful. As we sat by the fire, I kept having a nagging feeling that we were being watched. I asked Alpha Blaze, “Do you have patrols out tonight?” He replied, “We do. Please introduce yourselves.” The woman on the end was a tall blonde with entirely too much makeup on.
