“What? I do not understand what you mean?” Elaina asked, her heart beating fast in worry. Did Xavier know that she got intimate with Drake last night? If he did then it would mean trouble for them.

“I mean how the beast healed you. I'm curious because I saw how beaten up you were, no one would have been able to save you” Xavier answered casually when he observed her subtly.

Elaina was relieved to hear he was only curious about her healing, “Well, you could say it was a miracle, I was unconscious for most of it so I am not privy with the details and Drake didn't tell me either. I have mostly been asleep too, we haven't had time to talk” she explained, avoiding his eyes by focusing on her food.

Xavier nodded slowly, “Hmmm, is that so? You were in a terrible state so it's understandable that you would be extremely exhausted to sleep all through the night. I was hoping Drake told you his healing secrets, but nothing else happened you said?” he asked again
