I tossed and turned in bed, tired of hearing the chirping of the birds.
As i turned to lay on my side, the blinding rays of the sun shot through the shades, hitting me right on the eye. Squinting, I stretched before pulling the duvet off my body.
Next, I slipped my feet into my flops beside the bed, walked towards the window and pulled the shades open, taking in the sweet fragrance of the breeze that blew across.
At that moment, I remembered that I was supposed to have a meeting with Derrick by 9am. I let out a gasp as my eyes fell on the wall clock, it was 8: 30 am already.
I have worked with Derrick and one of the mistakes he would never tolerate is keeping him waiting or coming late to his meetings. He had once shot his business partner in the heart for keeping him waiting during one of their business meeting
