Chapter 3

"What do you mean he asked you to cancel the meeting?" Giovanni stared at Isabella, demanding an answer from her.

She had walked in just now and declared that Salvatore asked her to cancel the meeting for the development of the new company.

"I'm so sorry Mr De Rosso, but that is what the CEO asked me to tell everyone," She bowed her head, her feet tapping the floor impatiently.

She wanted to get out of the conference room quickly, the promise behind Salvatore's look made her shiver and she couldn't wait to feel him inside her.

"And where is Salvatore?" he asked.

"He is in his office."

He dismissed her before turning to everyone on seat. Isabella didn't wait another second before fleeing the room.

"I am so sorry for the inconveniences, but this is where the meeting would end. Salvatore must have been and jetlagged from travelling such a distance and we all have to agree that he need to rest. I should have thought about that before agreeing to this meeting," Giovanni address them, without a hint of smile on his face.

"When a new date has been fixed for the meeting, my PA would get in touch with you all," he assured and dismissed them.

They grumbled and groan before taking their leave, but that wasn't Giovanni's concern at the moment.

Once they all left, Gio walked out of the conference room and head towards Salvatore's office. He was furious and ready to give him a piece of his mind.

Just like he suspected, on getting to Salvatore's office door, the sound of grunt and moans was clear enough for him to know what was going on inside.

He banged his fisted hand on the door so hard that the moaning sound cease for a while, but no one came out.

He banged the door again, knowing they would keep on ignoring him until he is tired and leave the door.

"If you don't open this door this instant Salvatore, I'll be forced to do what you don't like," he pounded on the door with so much force, getting ready to break it down if he has to.

The door flung open and Isabella stepped out, her hair dishevelled, with her clothes in her hand.

Giovanni did not even spare her a glance as he stormed into the office, he already suspected Salvatore was going to sleep with her when she almost snapped it when he kept asking why Salvatore had cancelled the meeting.

And the way she tapped her feet on the floor gave her away.

"What the fuck was that about?" he asked once he laid his eyes on Salvatore.

"I think it time we set some rules in here. You don't just come barging into my office like you own it," Salvatore yelled at him, surprising Giovanni.

"What has come over you Salvatore? When did you become so much worse? You even have the gut to sleep with your PA in your office."

“Don't force me to call the security on you, Gio, because I will be glad to do it," Salvatore stared at his brother in the eye.

"You will have to pick one; this company, or your fleet of b*tch?" Giovanni declared. "I will not let you ruin our family legacy just because you can't keep it in your pants for a few hours," he turns around and walked out of Salvatore's office, not giving him time to reply.

He stopped in front of Isabella's desk and glared hard at her.

"From the first day of your employment when I set my eyes on you, I knew without being told that you are a wh*re," he spat at her.

"Mr... D-De Rosso," she stuttered.

He grabbed her throat and squeeze hard. "You are not worthy of calling that name you bitch," he snapped. "If I ever hear you calling my family name again, I will end you," he released her walked away from her as if her mere presence burns him.

Isabella scoffed once Giovanni is gone.

"Who cares about your opinion? What matters is the fact that Salvatore touched me for the first time ever," she smiled.

"He did what?" someone said behind her.

'What are you doing here Jessica?" She frowned at the young girl, who was staring at her with a foreign expression on her face.

"I want to know what Mr De Rosso did to you," Jessica quizzed.

"And how is that your business?" Her frown deepens. "Get back to your post, before I report you to the boss."

"Yeah, yeah, you can go ahead and report me," Jessica sneered. "You've only gotten to sleep with the boss just one day and you are feeling on top of the world, I wonder what you will do if you become his mistress."

Isabella's jaw drops open, she stared as Jessica walked away from her, but was quick to regain her composure when the image of how Salvatore pinned her over his desk played in her mind.

"Finally," she beamed. "You don't know how long I have been wanting to have you inside of me," her smiled grew wider.

"My dream finally came true. You are much more than my imagination," she drew in her bottom lip and sucked on it for a while, before settling down to continue her work.

The sound of running water filled the tiny room of a mini flat, the sizzling sound of something frying in the kitchen could be heard.

The wonderful smell of meat filled the air, and Aria inhaled hard.

"When will the food be ready?" She asked, craning her head to see what Luciana is doing in the kitchen.

"Come on Aria, you already asked, and I told you it would be ready soon," Luciana complained.

"You said the same thing five minutes ago, and you want me not to disturb you," she scoffed.

"Things would have been faster if you stop watching that old show, and come here to help me with some stuff," Luciana hinted.

"You know I don't cook, it a waste of my energy."

"Tell that to your future husband, and you would kiss your marriage goodbye."

Aria rolled her eyes. "We would get a cook, cause I'm sure my husband is going to be freaking rich."

Now it was Luciana's turn to roll her eyes.

"When will you stop getting your hopes up?" she walked out of the kitchen with a tray in both her hands.

She drops it on the table, turning to raise her brows at Aria.

"Huh?" she prompted.

"I will stop when you start living the life that you deserve, not the life where you feeling guilty every single minute," Aria blurted out.

"Let us eat in peace," Luciana said, her voice taking on a harsh tone.

"You are trying to skip the topic again, right? You love hiding from the truth," Aria sneered.

"What I do with my life is none of your business. Keep to yourself and I will do the same," Luciana snapped, but Aria wouldn't have it.

"You will get hurt in the end," Aria pressed on, "And by that time, it will be too late for you to put back the piece together."

"And that my dear, will be when you will know what actual guilt is," she concluded.

"You know nothing about me, so stop talking like you've been in my shoes," Luciana snapped.

"You are right; I know little about you, and I have not been in your shoes to know how you really feel, but I know she will not want this for you.

"She would want you to live a normal life. Take yourself out, go clubbing, but not this sulking around that you are doing."

"I didn't ask for your opinion," Lucianna glared.

"I'm giving it to you anyway, whether or not you take it lies in your hand," Aria stood up from where she was sitting. She picked up her bag and walked to the door.

"You are leaving without eating?" Luciana frowned.

"I refuse to sit still and watch you ruin your life, while I pretend to be the best friend in the world," she pushed the door open and walked out.

Luciana slump down on her chair, she placed her head on her arm, and let the tears she had been holding back fall.
