Chapter 56: The Edge of Truth

Evelyn’s Hunt for the Rebel

The air inside the warehouse was thick with the smell of gasoline and old blood. The dim light from the overhead bulb cast long shadows on the concrete floor, where a man knelt, hands tied behind his back, his breathing coming in short gasps.

Chapter 64: A Dangerous GameRaymond’s Next StepThe night air was cool, but Raymond barely noticed it as he pulled up to the location Camila had sent him. It was an upscale lounge, discreet enough to keep conversations private but exclusive enough that anyone inside knew they were dealing with power.Camila was already seated in a booth at the far end, sipping on a glass of wine. She looked completely at ease, but Raymond knew better. Camila was always calculating, always one step ahead.“You took your time,” she said, not bothering to look up as he slid into the seat across from her.Raymond leaned back, arms crossed. “I wasn’t sure if this was a setup.”She smirked. “If I wanted you destroyed, I wouldn’t be so obvious about it.”Raymond exhaled sharply. “Then what do you want?”Camila tapped her nails against the glass. “You’re in a mess, and I have a way out for you.”He narrowed his eyes. “And what would that be?”She leaned forward slightly, her voice lowering. “You’re not the o

The moment the police raided the party, he knew he had been set up, but it didn’t matter. The flashing cameras, the whispers, the humiliation, all of it had happened so fast. And now, the headlines were everywhere."Blackwood Heir Busted in Drug Scandal!""Raymond Blackwood: Reckless or Ruined?"The door to the holding cell creaked open, and in walked his father, Rico Blackwood.
