67: A second test

Draven stood in front of the chamber until nightfall. Then he returned to the room to check if she was already calm. Getting to the room, he saw her lying on her side on the bed, facing the door and immediately she saw him she turned to the other side. Draven heart felt like it had been stung by a bee.

He stood at the door watching her, listening to her heartbeat and the rise and fall of her chest. He sighed before he shut the door and then walked through the hallway. As he walked further, he saw Beta Vigo coming toward him.

“Alpha,” he called as he got to him.

Alpha Draven said nothing but just raised one of his hands, gesturing to Beta Vigo to keep quiet and leave him alone. Beta Vigo understood, he said nothing more and watched the Alpha walk away.
