ALPHA JORDAN'S POV
I hadn't felt as relieved as I felt the moment I was rid of Laura. She was like a thorn in the flesh, one that caused so much pain to me. I sprawled on the bed, mapping out my brand new life with Katherine. It was finally going to make sense. Being with someone you love and loved you back was the greatest thing a person could ask for. I heard a knock on the door, disrupting me from my thoughts. I ignored it at first but it rang again. This time it was intense. “What is it? Didn't I say I wished not to be disturbed?” I snapped, pissed to the marrow. “My apologies sir but it's quite important sir.” I frowned wondering what could be so important that he had to flaunt my direct orders. “What is it? Speak!” “Some important people from the pack are here to meet with you sir.” I sighed, sitting upright. KATHERINE'S POINT OF VIEWThere was fresh air at last. It felt so good to be rid of Laura who has done nothing but make life miserable for me. A part of me felt sorry for her though.Lol! She wasn't worthy of it, one bit.First, her father had killed my parents and brother in cold blood, they maltreated me and made hell for me back in my father's pack and even in the New pack.“What's running through your mind, my beautiful angel?” Alpha Jordan asked, gently kissing my neck. “It's nothing. I'm just remembering all I had to go through in the hands of Laura and her family.”He sighed, reached for my hands and locked them in his. “It's alright now. That's all in the past. I'm sorry I didn't do anything to stop her while she did all those things to you here..” he paused, swallowed hard and forged on.“I can say I was weak and terrified of what the people would say if I took actions against her. I'm extremely sorry.”
LAURA'S POINT OF VIEW No! There was no way that was happening. I was never going to accept such humiliation, not in my current life nor in the next. What would my mom and Dad say when they hear the news? What would everyone back at home think of me? That I'm unable to hold my home. There was no way I was going to let that happen to me. I was going to either remain as the Luna or lose my life fighting..That daughter of a bitch. Does she think she could win against me? The nerve she even had to plead for me when it was entirely her fault irked me so much.Acting like she didn't badly want to be Luna instead of me. When I'm done with her, she would beg for death and wouldn't find it.“You all should do something about this. I cannot be humiliated and neither can I lose being Luna. I do not give you all such huge sum of money just to do nothing. “ I thundered at the elders who stood beside me…They stared at each oth
KATHERINE'S POINT OF VIEW My head banged really hard. I was hurryin as well. I tried to sit upright but felt a sharp pain in me.I laid on the couch again, my eyes to the ceiling. My eyes darted around. Where I was bore no semblance to my room. It dawned on me seconds later.I was at the main chambers that housed the Alpha. But.. what was I doing there? I began more confused.A loud noise traced from outside within the same minute. It was so loud, ignoring it was completely impossible. My brows furrowed. I was dying to know what was going on. I cleared my throat, mustered every ounce of strength in me and rose to my feet..The pain struck again but I tossed it to the back of my kind. I dragged myself through the house until I was by the main door..The noise became louder like some people were engaged in a fight. What could be going on?I trudged on until I was at the scene of the fight. The Alpha stood still.
NINA’S POINT OF VIEW.My soul left my body when I got wind of Katherine’s death. No, it wasn’t possibe. There was no way she could be dead. I had left her that morning, hale and hearty.I gasped, trying to catch my breath that had eluded me. Without thinking twice or requesting for permission, I raced out as quickly as I could. Fear had rooted deeply in me and the thought of losing my only friend was the worst nightmare anyone could have.I dashed my feet against a stone as I made my way to the main chamber where she was said to have been taken to. I was unpertubed. A litte pain could never measure to the one in me. “Please. Stay alive for me, Katherine,” the words rang out of my mouth with bated breath. Tears had gathered in my eyes and trickled down without reins. Katherine was the only one I had and losing her would be losing life itself. I arrived at the main chambers minutes later. Beads of sweats had formed on my face and I didn’t bot
ALPHA JORDAN’S POINT OF VIEW As I sat in my room, my ass glued to my chair, getting this nagging thoughts off my mind seemed completely impossible. I hadn’t heard all day from katherine and I didn’t feel so cool about i. My eyes faced the whitewashed ceiling and somehow, i managed to convince myself. “She’s going to be fine. There’s a guard assigned to her anyway. I sighed and turned to the other side of the room. That changed nothing as the thought continued deep in me. My heart wasn’t at peace and I was sure it was going to go on that way if I did nothing to the thought on ny mind.I muttered some incoherent words and sprung to my feet. I reached for my sword where it laid and found my way out of my room, my head held high. The house was unusually loud and filled with chatters. My brows flared,. “What’s going on here? Why does it seem like there’s a party going on here?”It didn’t take long to discover laura and her m
KATHERINE'S POINT OF VIEW I could still recall the shock that was on Laura's face when I spoke back at her. She had stared at the alpha as if to ask for support from him but he paid no heed to her. If only she knew - lol, there was no way for her to know anyways. Nina had left to her duty post and I was left all alone in the room.I sprawled out on the bed, a book in my hand. I was distracted and barely concentrated on it. Hours had passed since the day broke and there still was nothing unusual.“Are we sure this is going to work out?” I thought to myself, dropping the book on the bed. I sighed and picked it up again.I was starting to gett bored from remaining insist all day. Alpha Jordan wouldn't let me head to the academy even though I tried convincing him.“It's not safe. I can't let that happen,” he had said when I insisted on it. There was nothing I could do anyways. All I wanted now was for it all to end.“I'm g
ALPHA JORDAN'S POINT OF VIEWI had a meeting with the chiefs and was left with only a few minutes. My feet swished around as I got ready. It was an emergency meeting and I had no idea what was to he discussed by them. I was seated on my chair in my study when my personal guard walked in.“There's a message for you sir,” he had announced, handing a tiny piece of paper to me. My brows furrowed as I wondered what the content of the letter was. Guessing seemed impossible as I wasn't expecting any message from anyone.I flung the paper open and glanced through it's content. “The chiefs would love to have a meeting with you at the palace later this evening.” It was elder Diego. I scoffed, wondering what the meeting was all about. Without success, I shrugged my shoulders and turned my attention to my guard. “You may leave now. Thank you.”He shut the door behind him, leaving me in silence. I picked the paper again. Confused, I raed thr
NINA'S POINT OF VIEW Somehow, I managed to get to the room I shared with Katherine before my pursuer got a hold of me. I was panting hard and struggled to catch my breath. Not in a long while had I run like I did at that moment. I shut the door and stood behind it. Katherine, who was sprawled on the bed, turned her head towards me. “What's the problem? Why do you look troubled?” Her voice rang in my ears. It took a few seconds before my breath returned. “Are you alright? Wait, have you been running?” She sat upright, her brows creasing a bit. I managed a nod and began, “I overheard Laura and a man speaking. They are.” I paused as I ran out of breath again. Katherine's curiosity had aroused, and her entire attention was fixed on me. “What was Laura discussing with the man?” “She asked the man to..." A knock rang on the door as I was about to spill the words. Silence swept through the room, and my heart
