LISA'S POINT OF VIEW
My face brightened like that of a bride who hadn't seen her Bride in a while. The entire night, I had been sick with worry for my sister, Laura. What could be going on with her? How was she faring? These questions rang through my mind for half of the night before I was swept in the cold hands of slumber.Seeing her that morning gave me all the joy I ever needed. I ran into her arms that opened up as I approached her. Tears gathered in my eyes, struggling to break through.“You're fine.. Thank the goddess..” I exhaled, still wrapped in her grasp. She chuckled, “Did you think something was going to happen to me? Have you forgotten I am Laura and I'm a strong woman?” She said and laughed. Her attempt at lightening the air was stale and proved totally useless but I had to pretend for her sake. I smiled back as we broke away from each other.“Tell me, hope he didn't do anything to you?” That was exactly what I wasLAURA'S POINT OF VIEWThe woman's words pissed me off more than I ever envisaged. How was she able to read my thoughts so well? I didn't like her. She seemed like she was going to throw a spanner through my wheel.“What are you talking about, granny?” Leo's voice rang, breaking the silence. She ogled at me, a thick frown on her face. “She isn't to be trusted. You should be extremely careful with her.”I clenched my hands into fists, allowing my rage course through me. “And what makes you think I'm not to be trusted?” It took all the willpower in me to keep my anger in check. I chuckled, my gaze still on her. The old woman smiled, a wry smile. “It's written all over you. Your anger has eaten deeper into you and all you can think of is exacting revenge.”I was stunned. My eyes widened as I swallowed the saliva that had gathered in my mouth.A deep breath escaped from my lips. “You are completely wrong about that. Though,
JORDAN'S POINT OF VIEW The sight before me. It wasn't a good one. I could tell at once that something was wrong. I swallowed the saliva that had gathered in my throat as I began to speak. “What's going on here? Why is there so much dirt?” A frown etched on my face as I stood gallantly. “I asked a question, didn't I? Why is no one answering me?” The question rang from my lips when I heard no response. My mother turned towards me, an evil smile on her face. “My son! You're back.”I was irked. Her voice made my stomach turn and I couldn't wait to be rid of her. “I didn't ask to be welcomed by you, did I?” I stole a glance at Katherine and I could see the hurting in her eyes. I needed no more words. It was evident what was going on.My face widened, a thick frown etching onto it. “What did you do to my wife?” My voice rang in the air and must have sent chills down her spine. Her jaw fell as she stared at me, fla
KATHERINE'S POINT OF VIEW It didn't matter anymore what anyone thought. I was the Luna of the pack now, meaning new responsibilities had been added to me. Nina was by my side, lost in her thoughts. We had been speaking until five minutes ago. The pack had returned to its normal routine and the excitement that was there a few days ago had faded without a trace.“What do you plan to do concentrating the queen Luna? She doesn't seem like she's going to come around anytime soon..” Nina's eyes peered right into mine as she spoke.I sighed, frustrated.Yeah, that was the exact word. I had no idea why she had such hate for me when I had done nothing against her.“To be frank, I have no idea as to how to go about it. It's tiring and exhausting as well. I went in to her room today..”“You did what?” Nina interrupted, her eyes bulging. You could see her shock plastered all over her face. I managed a weak smile at her, my hands c
ALPHA JORDAN'S POINT OF VIEW The men nodded their heads in agreement, thrilled by the plans that I had just shared with them. “That's a nice one, Alpha Jordan..” I nodded my head in response, grinning from ear to ear. Now, all I had to do was wait while this project gets executed.Reinforcements were sent to each farm owned by the pack. No less than a hundred men each. They moved with great precision and were there as soon as possible. I had gone with the first team of soldiers and made sure everything was set. “Alpha Jordan!” The commanders at each of the packs shrieked, shocked to see me. “What brings you here sir..” I grinned but told them nothing more than they should know. They nodded their heads and returned to their duty post.As I stood in front of the gate that led into the last farm that I was visiting, I couldn't get rid of this nagging feeling within me.I was certain the attack was going to be launched
LAURA'S POINT OF VIEW My heart skipped a beat as his words echoed in my ears. Shocked was an understatement as to how I felt at that moment.I already knew that was going to happen but the reality and soonest of it left me speechless. “Tomorrow? Why are you in such a haste?”He chuckled. “Haste? I am a busy person and I do not have time to waste or spare. I'll get your clothes and other things you'll be needing before the end of the day.”His words rang a bell in my ears. I was speechless and nothing made any sense to me. Not in the least. The little appetite I had managed to gather had disappeared into thin air. The food before me looked so unappealing. I remained this way for the next few minutes, my hands shaking uncontrollably. “Why aren't you eating? Are you alright?”His eyes fixed on me, sent chills down my spine. I shivered and couldn't bring myself to utter a word. I didn't have anything to say anyways.
