"You are scaring her you dolt!" Dmitri snarled at him as well before casting a reassuring gaze at me, "Don't worry about him, Demi."

"I should take my leave." I bowed silently and was about to move when I felt fingers around my arm again. It was Dmitri's, he pulled me closer with a gentle move and I saw the frown on Eros's face deepen like he didn't want him touching me.

I think mate is jealous, Harlyn had hope laced in her voice.

No, he isn't, I argued with her, He is just being silly!

"Let go of her, Dmitri." Eros snapped in his direction and he looked like he was about to close the space between him and Dmitri to punch him, “Now!”

"Why? She's not your mate is she?"

I looked at Eros as we all heard Dmitri's words and this time Eros looked at me, his eyes holding mine and a flicker of hope grazed my mind hoping that he'd claim me as it was only reasonable that he would seeing that he was expressing signs of jealousy.
