CHAPTER 36

I didn't know if Fiona was alive or dead in the basement. I hadn't heard her since she stopped screaming and Wyatt was leaving me alone in my bedroom. I didn't know what he was doing but I eventually heard a car start up so I looked out the window and I saw that Wyatt was getting into the car with another man and they were leaving the house.

I then went to the kitchen to get a coffee and get something to eat when the front door opened.

" Have you heard from Fiona?" He asked.

" Not since Wyatt dragged her down to the basement and did goddess knows what to her." I answered wiothout looking at him.

" He wouldn't have killed her. He still needs her. At least until you agree to be his mate." The guy says.

" Well, that's never going to happen." I say.

" Wyatt has a way of making people do whatever he wants." He says.

" Who are you?" I asked.

" Eli." He answered.

" Well Eli, I can be just as smart and stubborn as him. And I am not rejecting Asher to be mates with Wyatt." I
