If one day I cross path with Jared or anyone from my past, how should I act? What should I do? Should I express my hatred towards them for their false accusation? Should I ignore them as if they never existed? What should I do if they find out about Lucian?

I’ve always wondered to myself when I had these thoughts many times.

But...I never expected to face someone from my past in this way so unexpectedly, and even this soon.

‘’This is the genius Miss Quinn you’ve praising, father.’’ The Elder’s son speaks out, and I shifted my gaze towards his way, still aware of Jared’s eyes. I repeatedly told myself to be calm and act naturally as though he was a stranger.

‘’It’s nice to meet you, Young master Cadel.’’ I extend my hand forward for a handshake with a polite smile. My voice came out strong and not wavering, much to my relief.
