Chapter Fifty-nine

“Cancel all my appointments and drive back to the office.” Bryan mind-linked as he’d shifted to his wolf. in his human state, he would need wolf's bane as an antidote to the poisoning but he would heal quickly in his wolf form.

Elliot nodded his head before driving him back to his office.

The entire drive back, his wolf wouldn’t settle down calmly as it struggled to fight the poison.

A little while later, Bryan shifted back to his human, fully naked, and quickly changed into the clothes that Elliot had helped him take off.

About to leave the car, his cell phone vibrated and he reached for it, thinking it was a message from Roy but it turned out to be Cassandra.

--Did you get my surprise? This is the beginning of your woes if you don’t stop going after Roy Jordan. My father has done enough for Ortiz.

Bryan breathed through his teeth to get his anger under control. He’d been right about Rachel. Cassandra must have sent her to do this.
