Roy narrowed his eyes, “What do you mean?” Bryan had a distant look in his eyes as he began explaining. That day when Bryan had taken Roy to meet his family and his father called him for a conversation. They have a huge argument. His father whirled on him as soon as he walked into the study, a thunderous expression on his face, “What is he doing here?” “He is my mate, father.” He said with a derisive smirk, “and also my birthday gift to you.” “Do you want him dead?” he thundered and Bryan crossed his arms over his chest. “Stop the threats father, we both know you won’t do anything to Roy Jordan.” The veins on his face popped out and he stormed over to his desk, fetching pictures from his drawers. He threw them at his face. Narrowing his eyes, Bryan leaned over and picked up the pictures. "Bang!" Whose jaw fell to the ground? "Boom!" The documents in his hand also slipped. All high-level executives are in a state of shock. When he said the things he did, the voice of the CEO was not low. They couldn’t even pretend that they didn’t hear it. When he heard Bryan’s words, blood rushed to Roy’s face making it hot and scarlet. Why would Bryan do this? Roy groaned internally. The high-level executives only knew the relationship between Cassandra and Bryan. Why was he trying to put him in trouble with his father? He couldn’t fight a wolf. The people around him were peering at him like he was under investigation, which made him feel uncomfortable, so he lowered his head and left in a hurry. There was a brief silence at the elevator door, and the senior executives stooped to pick up the documents they had dropped on the floor, not daring to speak. Bryan thinned his lips and entered the elevator with a cold face, and the other high-level executives followed immediately.

The man was older and very plain-looking, with slightly thick eyebrows. Dressed in old jeans that sat snug on his hips and an old shirt, he looked like a police man that wasn’t on duty. The thought made him lightheaded. It was already dark outside, and he realized that he’d spent hours in the coffee after Liam had gone to mull over the things he’d heard. He needed to go home. He was sure his guards would be searching hell and heaven for him. Dialing their numbers, he rattled off his location to them after assuring them that he was fine and walked out to wait for them. After standing outside the coffee shop for a while, he looked behind his shoulder and felt that there was someone following him. he couldn’t tell if it was an illusion, or it was real or maybe he was just being paranoid. He frowned and walked over to the well-lit parking lot to wait for the bodyguards to bring the car. Suddenly a Ford swung into the parking lot, slowing to a stop beside him and Angelo stepped down from it. The hair at the back of his neck prickled with tension. After Roy left, Cain tore off the sheet that he’d been lying on and threw it on the ground like trash, then lay down on himself, curled up like this, and fell asleep. When Roy walked downstairs, he reached for his phone, but unfortunately, the battery was dead. He felt dead as he hailed a taxi to take him to the coffee shop. He knew by now that Bryan would be notified that he was missing. He sighed, cursing Angelo in his heart, and then got into the taxi. The driver was a female driver, who passed him a pack of napkins, "Wipe off your tears." He knew in Cain’s eyes he was just a toy. Roy thanked her, took it, and rubbed it against his cheeks. The taxi stopped at the entrance of the coffee, and when he saw the car the bodyguards always drove out at a glance, his shoulders sagged in relief.
