Chapter fifty-seven

After a long drive, the car pulled to a stop at a coffee shop.

Walking through the sliding doors, Roy saw a woman sitting inside at the table in the center of the shop at a glance and his footsteps slowed.

She looked like she was in her mid-twenties, with red lips and heavy make-up. She was wearing the latest A-line dress from the Yule Fashion line. Covered in bright purple fur, she looked particularly enchanting and commanding.

He didn’t expect it to be Cassandra Andorra. He had a brief one-on-one conversation with her after she resumed as the COO at Anderson and Siemens. Co. and it wasn’t a smooth one.

When Cassandra lifted her head and their eyes met across the room, a weird mix of smugness and kindness appeared on her face.

But Roy didn’t buy the act. This woman had to bring him here with such forceful means, it was clear that whatever conversation they were going to have will not be suave.
