Gigi Pov

Cindy and I were currently preparing to sneak out of our house and we were about to pass through the window when suddenly there was a loud knock on the door. We didn't bother to answer the person outside my door. Cindy wanted to open the door because she would surely be scolded if she didn't open the door when she was inside but I stopped her from doing that. When she was scolded I would admit that I did not let her open the door. And since no one was opening the door, the person who knocked who is none other than Shan just open the door and walk inside my room. She looked at us with sharp eyes as she walks closer to us.

"Why didn't you open the door, Cindy? Do you want me to punish you?" Shan's eyes widened as she spoke to Cindy, whose face suddenly turned pale with fear. But I held her hand and squeezed it slightly to let her know that I will not let Shan punish her.
