KIARA'S POV

The moonlight poured into the sanctuary like liquid silver.

It wasn't ordinary light….It pulsed…It breathed.

Every ancient rune carved into the stone walls began glowing one after another until the entire chamber shimmered with an ethereal radiance.

No one spoke.

No one dared to move.

The empty chest sat upon the pedestal, its lid fully open.

"It... it's empty," Liam whispered again.

"No," the witch doctor replied quietly.

"It never was."

I looked at her.

"What do you mean?"

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 115: THE SECRET OLIVIA KEPT

KIARA'S POVWe didn't speak as we left Moonfall Peak. There was nothing to say.Too many questions had been thrown into the air, and none of us had enough answers to catch even one.Kael rode ahead of us.His shoulders were rigid. His eyes remained fixed on the road.Adrian rode several feet behind him.The brothers hadn't spoken since leaving the mountain.Olivia stayed between them. She looked exhausted. Not physically.Emotionally.She had carried a secret for eighteen years. And now it was finally beginning to destroy her.I rode beside her."Olivia."She looked at me."Yes?""You don't have to tell me anything you're not ready to say."Her eyes softened."Thank you.""But Kael deserves the truth.""I know."She looked ahead at her sons."I've spent eighteen years trying to protect him.""And I thought silence was protection."She sighed."I was wrong."---When we finally returned to the pack, the gates opened immediately.Warriors rushed toward us.Their expressions changed the

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 114: THE BROTHER WHO DIED

KAEL'S POVFor several seconds, I couldn't breathe. The man standing at the end of the corridor looked exactly like the brother I had buried eighteen years ago.Same dark hair.Same sharp jaw.Same scar above his left eyebrow.Even the same crooked smile. But it couldn't be him.It was impossible. My brother was dead.I had watched them lower his coffin into the ground.I had stood beside my mother while she cried.I had been ten years old, but I remembered everything.Every detail.Every tear.Every word my father had whispered afterward.Your brother is with the Moon Goddess now.And yet...He was standing in front of me.Alive."Adrian?"The name left my mouth before I could stop it.The stranger's smile widened."It's been a long time, little brother."My sword lowered slightly.Kiara immediately grabbed my arm."Kael..."I couldn't look at her.My eyes remained fixed on him."You died."He laughed quietly."That's what they wanted you to believe."Olivia suddenly pushed through t

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 113: THE NAME IN THE SHADOWS

KAEL'S POVThe footsteps grew louder. One after another.Slow.Deliberate.Surrounding us from both ends of the underground passage.I tightened my grip around my sword.Kiara stood beside me, her eyes glowing faintly in the darkness. Ronan had positioned himself between Aldric and the approaching figures, while Liam gathered the remaining warriors behind us.Olivia stayed close to the witch doctor. No one spoke. Then Seraphine's voice echoed through the tunnel again."You really should have left the past buried, Kael."I stepped forward."You seem frightened."A short silence followed. Then she laughed."Frightened?""You heard me.""I've faced Alphas stronger than you.""Then why did you sound afraid when Aldric was about to speak?"Silence. That silence told me everything.I looked at Aldric."You know something she doesn't want me to know."Aldric nodded slowly."Yes."Seraphine's voice suddenly became sharp."Aldric."The old warrior flinched."Don't."She continued."You've spen

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 112: THE MAN WHO SURVIVED

KAEL'S POVThe footprints disappeared into the darkness.I stared at them for several seconds.Fresh.Someone had entered this hidden passage recently.Someone who knew exactly what was buried beneath the old barracks."Nobody moves," I said.Liam immediately raised his hand, stopping the warriors behind us.Ronan stepped beside me."Whoever left those tracks knows this place.""Then we'll find out who."I drew my sword.Kiara moved closer."I'm coming."I glanced at her."I know."She smiled faintly."You finally stopped arguing.""I'm learning.""Slowly."Despite everything, a small smile crossed my face. Then we entered the passage.---The tunnel descended deeper beneath the pack. The air became colder with every step.Ancient symbols covered the walls. Some had been scratched out.Others were almost completely destroyed. The witch doctor stopped several times to examine them."This passage predates your father's reign.""How old?""Older than the pack itself."I frowned."Then wh

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 111: THE HIDDEN CHAMBER

KAEL'S POVThe torchlight flickered against the damp stone walls as Liam led the way beneath the old barracks. The air was stale.Untouched.Every step echoed through the narrow passage.Behind me, Kiara, Ronan, Olivia, the witch doctor, and several trusted warriors followed in silence. The scout stopped before a rusted iron door nearly hidden beneath decades of dust."This is it, Alpha."I stepped forward. The crest carved into the center of the door made my heart sink. The Alpha's Guard. No one had opened this place since my father's reign."Stand back."Liam drove his shoulder into the door.It didn't move.Again.The hinges groaned. On the third strike, the ancient lock snapped, and the heavy door swung inward.A cloud of dust billowed into the corridor. The room beyond was small but carefully arranged.Maps covered one wall.Shelves lined another, filled with scrolls and leather-bound journals.A long wooden table stood in the center, still bearing faded candle wax.It looked as

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 110: THE TRUTH OF THE FALLEN ALPHA

KAEL'S POVSleep never came. The anonymous letter lay on the desk in my study, its words refusing to leave my mind.Trust no one who stood beside your father on his final night. The fire in the hearth had burned low, leaving the room illuminated only by the pale glow of the moon outside.I stood by the window overlooking the training grounds.Empty.Silent.Peaceful.Yet my mind was anything but.A gentle knock echoed through the room."Come in."The door creaked open, and Kiara stepped inside carrying two steaming cups of tea."I thought you might still be awake."I smiled faintly."You know me too well."She crossed the room and handed me one of the cups."You've been standing here for an hour.""I've been thinking."She laughed softly."You always say that when you're worrying."I didn't deny it.Instead, I took a sip of the tea before looking back out the window."What if everything I've believed about my father is a lie?"Kiara stood beside me."It doesn't change the man he was."
