KIARA’S POV

I couldn’t take my eyes off Ryder.

The black symbol inside his silver eyes had disappeared almost as quickly as it appeared, leaving his eyes completely normal again.

But I had seen it.

So had Kael.

So had the witch doctor.

Nobody could tell me it hadn’t happened.

I held Rowan closer while Kael stood beside me with Ryder.

“Why him?” I whispered.

The witch doctor shook her head.

“I don’t know.”

“You said the Gate chose him.”

“I said I believe it did.”

“That’s not enough.”

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 125: THE LIE IN ADRIAN’S EYES

KIARA’S POVI didn’t tell Kael what my mother had said. Not yet.I couldn’t.The words were still burning inside my head.Don’t trust Adrian.Adrian had become part of our lives so quickly that sometimes I forgot he had been missing for years. He had fought beside Kael.Protected the pack.Helped us find the twins.Warned us about the Gate.He had even helped us survive the battle at Moon River. But my mother had looked me in the eyes and warned me against him.And now the Architect had spoken through Ryder.Something was terribly wrong.Kael was still standing beside the twins’ cribs.Ryder had stopped glowing. His eyes were normal again.“He’s fine,” Kael whispered.I nodded. But I wasn’t convinced.Neither was he.He turned toward me.“What did you hear?”I forced myself to breathe.“Nothing.”His eyes narrowed.“Kiara.”“I said nothing.”He stepped closer.“You’ve never been able to lie to me.”I looked away.“Maybe I’m learning.”He gently lifted my chin.“You saw your mother.”“

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 123: THE ELEVEN LOST YEARS

KAEL’S POVNobody moved after Seraphine disappeared. Her words remained in my head.Your father didn’t die eighteen years ago.He died seven years ago.I looked at Adrian. He wouldn’t meet my eyes. That was enough.“Adrian.”He remained silent.“Look at me.”Slowly, he raised his head.“Is it true?”His jaw tightened.“Kael…”“Is it true?”Olivia came out of the Alpha House. She had heard everything. Her face was pale.“Adrian.”He closed his eyes.“I didn’t want you to find out this way.”My heart pounded.“Then tell me.”He looked at me.“Father was alive.”The world seemed to tilt beneath my feet. For eighteen years, I’d mourned him.For eighteen years, I’d believed I knew the night he died. But apparently…Everything had been a lie.“Where was he?”Adrian swallowed.“Moonfall.”“All these years?”“Not exactly.”“Then where?”He looked toward the mountain.“Moving.”“Running.”“Fighting.”“Fighting whom?”“The First Circle.”I shook my head.“You told me they killed him.”“They tri

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 122: THE FIRST PROPHECY

KIARA’S POVThe forest remained silent after the voice disappeared. No birds. No wind. Not even the sound of the river reached us anymore.I stared at the body beneath the tree. The black symbol on the warrior’s neck seemed to pulse once before fading completely.Kael stood beside me, his fingers still wrapped around mine.“Did you hear it?”I nodded.“Two guardians.”“Two bloodlines.”“One choice.”The words continued repeating inside my head. The witch doctor slowly rose.“We need to return to the pack.”Adrian looked at her.“Why?”“Because the voice wasn’t speaking to us.”She looked at Kael and me.“It was speaking to them.”A chill ran through me.“What does that mean?”The witch doctor didn’t answer.Instead, she walked toward the body and examined the symbol one last time.“This mark is older than the First Circle.”Adrian frowned.“Then the Architect didn’t create it.”“No.”She shook her head.“He found it.”“And copied it.”Kael’s expression hardened.“So the Architect has

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 121: THE CHOICE OF THE GUARDIANS

KIARA’S POVThe silence after the mountain stopped roaring was somehow worse than the battle.I held Rowan tightly against my chest while Kael stood beside me with Ryder in his arms.Neither of us spoke. We were both staring at the silver symbols glowing faintly across the twins’ backs. The witch doctor looked terrified.“Take them inside,” she whispered.Kael immediately turned toward her.“Why?”“Because those marks should not have appeared.”“What do they mean?”She shook her head.“I don’t know.”“You said they were the reason the Gate chose us.”“I said I believe they are connected.”“That’s not an answer.”The witch doctor looked toward Moonfall Peak.“The Gate was created to recognize bloodlines.”“Your bloodline.”She pointed toward me.“His bloodline.”Then she looked at the twins.“And now theirs.”My heart tightened.“What does it want from my children?”“I don’t know.”“Then find out.”My voice shook.“I’ve had enough people telling me that they don’t know.”The witch doct

  • THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 120:THE BATTLE AT MOON RIVER

KIARA’S POVThe moment the first wolf charged, the forest erupted into chaos.A deafening roar rolled through the trees as the warriors of the pack surged forward, their bodies shifting between wolf and human forms as they attacked the First Circle.I stood beside Kael, my silver-marked hand burning so intensely that I could barely feel my fingers.Across the river, the Architect watched everything. He wasn’t fighting. He didn’t need to.He simply stood there, calm and composed, as though he already knew how the battle would end.“Stay behind me,” Kael ordered.I shook my head.“Not this time.”He looked at me.“Kiara—”“My magic is reacting to the Gate.”I lifted my hand.Silver energy curled around my fingers.“I can feel it.”Kael’s expression softened for a moment.“Then stay close.”“I will.”A masked warrior suddenly leapt over the stone bridge.I raised my hand.A wall of silver magic exploded between us.The warrior slammed into it and fell backward.Another appeared behind hi
