LOGINCyhilenia
"Babe, your desperate ex, keeps coming back" she cussed, disgusted and the guests around them burst into laughter like
It was some entertainment but I didn't mind.
He kissed her right in front of me and whispered; "let me handle her"
I swallowed, knowing the worst could happen but then he'd never abandon her, our daughter.
Garett left averia and then crouched in front of me. His dark eyes that meant safety, now meant danger, stared down.
And for everyone to hear, he said;
“You think I don’t see what this is, Cyhilenia?”
My body shook but I held his gaze, panting hard.
“You’re using a sick child to get me back. Same trick you used six years ago.
Pathetic. You’re human trash birthing human trash.”
"Garett, I would never..."
"Stop. She’s not my daughter. A defective like that? That's no blood of mine. You probably slept with a stray to get pregnant. That’s why she’s dying. Your sin, not my problem.”
He stood, fixes his cufflink, and faced everyone while I was shattered by his words unable to breathe.
“Security, remove her. And file a restraining order. If she shows up at my wedding again, charge her with harassment. A human has no claim to a Supreme Alpha’s bloodline. Dead or alive.”
“Guards. Remove the human trash.” averia screeched, her eyes glowed mauve.
"Garett, please, she's yours" I cried as footsteps clomped behind me.
The guards rushed to pull me out and I was lifted like a weightless being.
The murmurs among the guests resumed.
“Wicked woman.”
“Leech.”
“She probably cursed the child herself to trap him.”
I still managed to break out of their hold and this time, I grabbed garett's leg, my eyes trailed to averia.
Perhaps, she'd understand. My side was pressed to the apex of his leg as I cried so hard.
"Averia, please beg him for me, I can't survive this if anything happens to her"
Averia eyed me as she scoffed unbelievably at me.
"Then die with that forsaken curse of yours!" She spat, then used her heels to push my hand away from Garrett, like I was a stain.
It caused a deep scratch on my skin and Garrett did nothing but watch her humiliate me the more.
The guards dragged me out, my knees scraped the marble, my dress was torn and skin split open.
The last thing I heard before the door slammed against me was his voice.
Garett.
It sounded like a victory "To the future Luna of the Supreme Pack.”
Cheers erupted and chills ran down my spine.
I lost. What should I do? I promised to keep her breathing.

While outside the hall, paedyn's call came in and I was nervous to answer it but I did anyway.
I didn't even know the phone would survive all the heavy downpour.
"Cyhilenia...come back"
That was all she said before the call got terminated.
Like her call was a magnetic pull, I ran, each step caused my knees to bleed the more, the cold bathed me with no mercy.
I pushed past people on my path, tears in my eyes, my breath was failing and as soon as I got to the hospital, my whole body froze.
Paedyn met me at the entrance door, her wistful stare told me everything.
“She coded twenty minutes ago, Cyhilenia. We did everything. I’m sorry, bestie.”
My tears ceased, my legs were heavy and for a second, I didn't hear her, everything blurred.
I pushed past her, pulling my feet with great difficulty to my baby's ward.
I met an empty bed, stained white sheets and her locket on the pillow.
My chest tightened as my eyes danced in their sockets. Nothing felt real now.
"Pae, my baby" I whispered with a smile.
"She took a walk right?"
I turned to paedyn who lifted her head up, I could see the tears in them but I chuckled.
"Please tell her, Mommy's here now, I went to find a way..."
"Cyphilenia!" She screamed but I grabbed her collar, widening my eyes.
"Give me my baby!!!"
She was terrified, shaking her head and apologizing but I pushed her back, having no idea where I was going but found myself at the morgue.
A nurse was almost piling her body up with other dead corpses, so inhumane.
She wasn't dead! My Christine isn't dead right?
In a haste, I grabbed my child from him, snarling him back or I might really commit a murder.
I cuddled Christine, kissing her forehead and pacing out of there with her.
She was cold and needed warmth and I was here to provide that warmth.
"Hey, love, Mommy's here. I'm sorry for taking so long, I'm taking you home now..."
Paedyn cut out from the corner I intended to take. She was sobbing as she spread her arms, to stop me from leaving.
"Please stop cyhilenia, she's dead..."
"No!!" I roared, desperate and pained.
"She's not!!!"
She slowly dropped to her knees.
"Please... don't make this worse"
Ahead of her, the screen hung on the wall suddenly decided to show garett and averia.
Standing next to each other, chuckling and talking about their excitement for the wedding.
There was no thought in my head as I glared at them, I didn't even know when paedyn took my baby away from me.
Her palm rested on my shoulder as she embraced me with my Christine.
"I'm sorry" she whispered but my eyes were on the couple on the screen.
"A video began going viral about your ex, returning to beg for her daughter's life" the host of the show laughed in a mockery manner. "So what do you say to the audience who are curious to know the truth?"
Garrett swallowed, his jaw ticked and his eyes were just staring into my soul.
"She didn’t birth my child. She gave birth to her as proof she had warmed another wolf’s bed. A stray’s defective mistake. Don’t drag my name into her circus.”
Averia stared at her nails which had morphed into claws and added;
“If her child is dying, that’s karma. She chased alphas until she got knocked up by one too weak to claim her. That’s not my bloodline. That’s her consequence.”
Garett's lips curved upwards but paedyn turned off the screen before the next question could be asked.
"Cyphilenia, we have to bury..."
The world went upside down and I held my locket to my lips.
What was I even living for? I broke my promise to her. Right now, I felt like a breathing corpse and everything paedyn was saying didn't register.
My legs were moving, lifeless and the tears I craved for never dropped.
"Where are you going?"
"I need to breathe," I muttered, not looking back. My voice wasn't broken, it was stern like I didn't lose a child.
Accepting it was difficult.
I knew she intended to stop me but someone else was calling her as a patient needed her attention urgently.
I was at the car park, staring at cars I could break in and I saw an old truck, a means to take me to the mountain bridge.
Christine's favourite place.
I hit the road after using a pin to get in and connected some wires to keep it running.
No thoughts, just me and the empty road, the sounds of coyotes, howling of wolves and the chirping of insects.
Even the vehicle smelt of wolves and furs. I'd gone far, and needed to slow down but suddenly the brakes were failing.
And rather than panicking, I just let it ride.
In the opposite lane, headlights swerved and I caught a glimpse of a red sports car.
A woman's scream in the wind: "I've got the evidence...but the brakes are failing!!!"
I narrowed my brows only to find out it was summer varye, older sister to averia.
She was on a call, to someone and I didn't even know why it interested me or just because I was going to die and have nothing else to lose.
"They made me do this! I'm tired of playing their puppet and I'm never going to marry Alpha Logan! He has blood on his hands!"
She looked reckless on the wheel but it was weird we were facing the same problem.
Failed brakes.
I saw her and she saw me. Surprisingly, neither of us swerved. There was fear in her eyes as she frantic, but accepted fate.
"I don't want to die... please"
And the last thought in my head before impact was; At least, I won't die a liar. At least I won't die human and alone.
Then a loud crash as our cars smashed into each other. Metals screeched and glasses bit my face.
I saw myself floating with the car, metals pressed against me and then darkness.
I'm coming to you...Christine.
CyhileniaOne minute I was dead and the next minute I woke up with the face of another. If it were a rebirth, I would have understood. But this wasn’t. I was sure my face got swapped because my body felt the same.Same scars under the skin. Same aches from the accident.I kept staring at the mirror on the wall adjacent to the bed I laid on. Silver hair, did my hair get dyed?I was wearing Summer Varye’s face. This hospital felt familiar too. It belonged to Dr. Paedyn. But then, she was nowhere to be found. It got worse because my attempt to leave and see my daughter only had me in restraints, with nurses claiming I was going berserk. I’d demanded to see Paedyn at least. But they wouldn’t listen. Rather, they were respectful, claiming I needed to rest my head. Then he showed up and time literally stopped.Logan Dorne. He filled the doorway like a storm that forgot how to be gentle. Tall. Broad shoulders straining the black coat he wore like armor. Dark hair, slightly messy, lik

Pure wolf. Silver hair, gold eyes, scent of moonflower and submission. She didn’t look at me. Her hands shook as she pressed the marriage contract to my desk.“Sign it,” Lord Varye begged. “20 million debt cleared. North Territory access. Alliance against rogues. She’s your problem now.”Summer Varye stared at the wall like she was already dead.I read the terms once. "Must produce heir within 1 year. Blood oath binding. Death does not void. Standard pack politics, cold and transactional.I signed without a second thought. My blood hissed on the parchment. Then she whispered, so soft I almost missed it: “I hope you choke on it, logan dorne.”That was the last thing she ever said to me before she disappeared. Then three days later, news hit every pack channel: "Supreme Heiress Summer Varye a

Cyhilenia“Will I die, Mom?”My shoulders jumped to my ears as her voice was smaller than the ICU beeping.I pressed my forehead to the glass and lied just to give her a hope I wasn't even sure existed.“No, baby. Not today...not ever. I promised you, remember? Mommy keeps her promises.”Inside, my little moon sat on the hospital bed, six years old, too pale and fragile.I tried not to burst into tears. She has my hair, my eyes but her ears are pointed. There were furs at the tops and a little wolverine tufts that twitched when she was scared. She had garett's curse and his bloodline. The very reason the supreme pack called her “defective.”Recalling his name only awakened a scar in me.She coughed and blood stained the white sheets. Will he bring the medicine?” I forced a smile as my nails dug into my palms until I bled, because staying stron
