LOGAN

She gave up the crown just so she becomes worthless to me. Overnight.

Two months ago, Supreme Pack’s heiress walked into my study with her father’s tears and my father’s greed.

Summer Varye. Pure wolf. Silver hair, gold eyes, scent of moonflower and submission.

She didn’t look at me. Her hands shook as she pressed the marriage contract to my desk.

“Sign it,” Lord Varye begged. “20 million debt cleared. North Territory access. Alliance against rogues. She’s your problem now.”

Summer Varye stared at the wall like she was already dead.

I read the terms once. "Must produce heir within 1 year. Blood oath binding. Death does not void.

Standard pack politics, cold and transactional.

I signed without a second thought. My blood hissed on the parchment.

Then she whispered, so soft I almost missed it: “I hope you choke on it, logan dorne.”

That was the last thing she ever said to me before she disappeared.

Then three days later, news hit every pack channel: "Supreme Heiress Summer Varye abdicates. Crown passes to Garett Blackthorn"

Overnight, she went from throne to trash. From valuable to void.

My Beta laughed: “Alpha, you bought a crownless doll.”

I didn’t laugh. I don’t bluff. And I don’t let vows break, even when the prize rots.

“Find her,” I told him. “Contract says she’s mine. Death doesn’t void it.”

And when the search began, we found nothing for two days. No scent, no trace, just rumors she ran to some human lover with “evidence” against the Supreme Pack.

And now, it was day three in my study room, my wolf was just calm or didn't even exist because the irony was, we aren't mates.

Then my phone rang. 3:17am and it was an unknown number but with a hospital static in the background.

“Alpha Logan?” A nurse’s voice shook.

“This is nurse Harley at Mercy General.

We... we have your wife.”

My blood went cold as my eyes grew wild, not from fear but just a habit.

“How?” I asked, fumbling and darting my eyes everywhere.

“Car crash. Two days ago on Route 9. She was unidentified. Just woke up 10 minutes ago. Silver hair, mates the file photos. She keeps saying ‘I’m not her’ and—”

The nurse paused, my ears detected a sharp inhale and a beep from a machine flatlining, then restarting.

All in the background.

"She's cutting through the restraints...argh"

"Please let me go!" I heard her clearly and I forgot I heard lungs.

She was really running away from me.

I was already pulling on my coat before she finished.

“Don’t let her leave,” I ordered flatly and my wolf just purred as he found me ridiculous.

He hates getting involved when she wasn't even ours. My wolf ray was a definition of being dead.

The hospital reeked of antiseptic and mistakes as soon as I arrived.

I didn’t run. Alphas don’t run. But my feet moved faster than my brain as I shoved the ICU doors open.

She was the first I saw, summer varye, on the bed. My wife by contract.

Then her eyes opened...blue. It was her eyes but something about them had me drowning like I was seeing those eyes for the first time.

Her scent hit me like a blade. It wasn't moonflower, not wolf but death and rain that stirred something in me which had my teeth aching.

My wolf slammed against my chest and suddenly, after 27 years of silence, he came awake, snarling.

"MINE!" He roared in my head, like a siren and I stopped breathing.

What went wrong?

The woman on the bed saw me, her pupils shrank and her black claws sliced through the steel restraints like papers.

She was wild! Unlike the polished and weak summer I know. More skinny like it wasn't a month ago we last saw.

"I'm not her" she whispered in a crack voice.

I leaned closely to her, fighting so hard not to kiss her or have her pinned to the bed because my wolf was threatening to mark her.

“Of course you’re not,” I mused with the same voice I use on liars. “Summer is a wolf. You’re not.”

Her eyes widened. “Then believe me—”

“I believe what’s in front of me,” I cut her off as I brought out the marriage certificate from my coat. Tossed it on her lap.

The blood oath still glowed faint and I sensed that she was saying this to avoid me.

“Look at the signatures. Supreme Pack seal. You died 3 hours after this, Summer. Contract doesn’t void because your eyes changed color."

The accident must have made her eyes brighter, not deep like before. I hate to admit she had suddenly become more beautiful over night.

“I’m not Summer!” she screamed as the machines beeps “I’m dead! I have a daughter! You don’t undersand—”

“You have nothing,” I said. Stepped close. Inhaled at her throat.

I smelt her again and my wolf lost his mind

"MATE. CLAIM HER"

I ignored him. He was 27 years late. She shoved me, hard for a broken woman, was strong.

The summer I know wouldn't look me in the eyes like that but I guess she was infuriated.

“Stop!” Tears cut down Summer’s face.

“I’m telling the truth!”

I caught her wrists but her nails cut my skin on the face, yet I didn't mind.

“Truth?” I brushed my thumb over her claws. “Wolves don’t cut steel, wife. So

you’re right. You’re not Summer.”

She exhaled, relieved but her eyes were staring at me, startled.

I gave her a sided smile.

“You’re something else,” I said.

“Something my wolf waited 27 years for.

So you can lie all you want. Say you’re dead. Say you have a daughter. Say you’re anyone but her.”

I leaned down, my nose to her jaw.

“But you smell like mine. You bleed like mine. And you’re wearing my ring.”

I released her. Stood up straight, my cold mask returned.

“Doctor says you woke up 10 minutes ago after 2 days unidentified after the crash,” I said but tried not to raise my voice “So tell me your name, wife. Lie to me. I love when you lie.”

Her lips parted as she was baffled and I smirked, loving how speechless she had become.

“You’re coming home with me. Deny it all you want. My wolf has already decided.”

Her claws dug into the mattress and she drew in a long breath while my wolf echoed;

"Finally, we found our mate"

"No ray, it's just her scent, she isn't real" I communed just so he doesn't get his hope high.

"We feel it Logan!"

"You confirmed it, what must have gone wrong?"

She was breathing hard and suddenly I wanted to hold her, to cuddle her but I restrained myself.

"Maybe she has been hiding her scent? And the accident caused it to wear out" his hackles spike high "That woman would do anything just not to be tied to you"

I held her gaze as she looked at me like I was a monster.

Maybe I was.

CyhileniaOne minute I was dead and the next minute I woke up with the face of another. If it were a rebirth, I would have understood. But this wasn’t. I was sure my face got swapped because my body felt the same.Same scars under the skin. Same aches from the accident.I kept staring at the mirror on the wall adjacent to the bed I laid on. Silver hair, did my hair get dyed?I was wearing Summer Varye’s face. This hospital felt familiar too. It belonged to Dr. Paedyn. But then, she was nowhere to be found. It got worse because my attempt to leave and see my daughter only had me in restraints, with nurses claiming I was going berserk. I’d demanded to see Paedyn at least. But they wouldn’t listen. Rather, they were respectful, claiming I needed to rest my head. Then he showed up and time literally stopped.Logan Dorne. He filled the doorway like a storm that forgot how to be gentle. Tall. Broad shoulders straining the black coat he wore like armor. Dark hair, slightly messy, lik

Cyhilenia“Will I die, Mom?”My shoulders jumped to my ears as her voice was smaller than the ICU beeping.I pressed my forehead to the glass and lied just to give her a hope I wasn't even sure existed.“No, baby. Not today...not ever. I promised you, remember? Mommy keeps her promises.”Inside, my little moon sat on the hospital bed, six years old, too pale and fragile.I tried not to burst into tears. She has my hair, my eyes but her ears are pointed. There were furs at the tops and a little wolverine tufts that twitched when she was scared. She had garett's curse and his bloodline. The very reason the supreme pack called her “defective.”Recalling his name only awakened a scar in me.She coughed and blood stained the white sheets. My hands trembled as I turned to look at the nurse and doctor paedyn in the room. Then she whispered, “Is Daddy coming? He said he’d save me. Will he bring the medicine?” I forced a smile as my nails dug into my palms until I bled, because staying stron
